Great, thanks a lot Oliver.

Hi. What settings do I use in the intelliscene file so there is no AES service at all at AES enabled airports?
I am at a GA parking spot in a Mooney Bravo and I have set things so that no vehicles arrive or stairs wheel up to the aircraft and so on. But can I stop the dispatcher appearing too and putting blocks in front of the wheels? If there is no intelliscene file at all I get the usual error (aircraft configuration) message of course.
I don't want to go in to AES Help every time and disable the airport, but do this on a plane-by-plane basis if possible? Or, maybe the only way is to close the AES error message and continue??
Thank you.

Er, OK, but then why has it suddenly appeared beneath my logo? I haven't been a naughty boy as far as I know!

Anyone know why my avatar has 'Warn Status' under it all of a sudden? When I click on it a page shows 'No Warnings'...

Thank you Oliver..

Does anyone else have the 'problem' (small as it is) of the follow-me car running too far ahead of the aircraft and then stopping and waiting - then continuing, the same thing happening over and over again all the way to the gate? This never used to happen before version V221. Is the speed of the car set by the programme or can I change it? If others notice this, maybe it could be fixed in a future version?
Thanks,
Martin

AES looks really great now, with staff loading the catering trollies, much more lifelike movement and so forth.
So yes, I agree, given that all that has been possible, it would be wonderful to extend it to having passengers get out of the bus (as the driver already does) and board the plane!!
Any plans/chance??

Yes, thanks for all the improvements. The animation is really good now and all the little touches, like staff loading and unloading from the catering truck (to name but one), are very welcome.
I already bought a dozen credit packs or more - this encourages me to buy even more (though nearly all my AES airports (over 120 to date!) are now active.

Thank you Oliver - now fixed.

Is it possible for us to remove these little figures somehow please, Or will there be a new AFCAD in the next AES update? Thanks.
Martin

That would be good, as having figures in the middle of the taxiways doesn'tlook so good of course..
Any idea how to remove them in advance of an AFACD update? If there are no gates there, I don't know what information AES is using to have the marshallers appear like that.
Thanks,
Martin

Any ideas please Shaun??

Hi. I have the Aerosoft London Heathrow 2008 installed, with AES active. I have just updated to AES 2.21 and find I have marshallers on the taxiways. I didn't notice this before I installed the new version of AES, though it may be a coincidence and nothing to do with the update itself.
Whatever, I would much prefer not to have these little people on the taxiway of course! - so far I notice two, as indicated in the first screenshot.
I have checked the AFCAD in AFCAD2, and there are no gates or parking spots shown there. However, the active AFCAD is my edited version of the original - AF2_EGLL_Simwings.bgl - as that file had three gates positioned on this taxiway. See the 'before and after' screenshots below.
But even though I have deleted the three gates using AFCAD2, and I no longer get aircraft parking there, AES is still putting marshallers where the gates used to be.
Hope you can help me sort this out. (Is there perhaps a fixed AFCAD for Heathrow 2008, approved for use with AES?).
Thank you,
Martin

Sorry, I don't have the co-ordinates now, I should have posted with that on the screen - will check again soon and post an update. Thanks.
(What did you mean BTW by "my borders melt much eye candy than your picture shows it"?)

Will try same flight again with LOD at 8.5 ...

I notice that my ground textures in Antarctica X are rather blurred, especially boundaries between ice and land. They never come into focu: I assume it isn't supposed to be like this:
I have already modified my FS9 (that's FS9) cfg file according to received wisdom at FSGenesis and other sites and have had some improvement, but wonder if anyone has some tips with regard to FSX, which I know much less well. I assume the figures for FSX would be different from FS9.
Have Googled this and of course there are several suggestions, but advice here would be useful.
Thanks,
Martin

Thanks for the reply. I'll have another look at the manual - I suppose initially I'm looking for eye-candy (aren't we all when we start a new scenery?) - glaciers maybe. Already charmed by the snow clearing machine at McMurdoch!!

Can't see a similar post: sorry if I missed it in my search...
I have flown a few flights now and am suitably impressed (McMurdo to Mt. Erebus & back a recent short one). Just wondered if people have some 'must see' favourites - detailed landing strips, glaciers, icebergs, shipping - anything that you would encourage others to go and explore. It's a big continent and whilst the endless ice is a change from flying over Europe, I reckon I am missing some stunning views somewhere. Where are the highlights of this scenery? If anyone has a flightplan (.pln) maybe they could post the text of it too??
Thanks,
Martin

Yes, will do that - thanks!

Hi. I must firstly admit that although I have received my DVD, I haven't been able to try the installation yet as I am currently abroad and won't have access to my FS PC until the New Year. I wonder though if someone could kindly confirm the DVD installation procedure, as reading the forum I am not sure what the 'launcher' does (some people apparently forgot that stage and so have a corrupt installation) and whether this is a separate process.. the booklet to the DVD frankly doesn't inspire confidence by starting off by telling you to 'run the file that you downloaded from your shop account'. Oh well ...
Is the procedure exactly the same with the DVD installation as for a downloaded file, as on p.6 of the manual - the same verification procedures online etc.? Is there a step-by-step guide somewhere? Or maybe it's so straightforward one isn't needed?
Whatever, can't wait for Christmas to be over so I can get back and fly!!! ;-)
Thanks,
Martin

Hi. I bought the FS2004 Canary Islands scenery some time ago now - but wonder why one of the vehicles moves around some airports (Tenerife South OK, Tenerife North, not) in weird, jerky little jumps. All the other vehicles are OK and my fps is pretty constant at 30 (I limit the sim to this). Video of the said vehicle is here:
http://smg.photobuck...nt=CanaryIs.mp4
Is there a fix for this, as it looks rather odd. Or if not, can I remove just this one vehicle from the sceneries? As I say, other ground vehicles move around perfectly smoothly.
Thanks,
Martin

Hi,
Some little while since the last update. This is not to ask the (presumably) annoying question, 'when will it arrive', rather I wanted to ask (being on my 11th. credit pack now, I have some interest in AES!) if the issue of the follow-me truck racing ahead of the taxiing aircraft and then stopping to wait (mentioned in previous posts) will be corrected in the next update? And also if we will get the de-icing spray back in FS9 (I know there were issues with FSX, but the FS9 spray effect used to work fine).
Thanks,
Martin
