P.S. I won't upload the textures on the net, obviously, but I'd like to know if Marcel would mind if I mail the desired textures (reduced or 100% transparent or both) to people who would like to have it? If not, that's cool: I can always simply explain how to get things done in that case.

Das Einschalten des Batterieschalters ist nicht notwendig und allein auch nicht ausreichend; entscheidend ist, dass der Zündschlüssel für die Kontrolle im Zündschloss ist. Da es sich bei diesem Temperaturfühler vermutlich um eine Folie handelt, die sich durch Erwärmung allmählich verändert. Zitat Handbuch: "Während sich die Strukturtemperatur dem Limit annähert, wird sich der Hintergrund langsam verdunkeln, bevor er schwarz wird; die graduelle Veränderung alleine bedeutet noch kein Flugverbot." Wenn das also eine Temperatur anzeigende Flüssigkristall-Folie sein sollte, brauchte man nicht einmal den Schlüssel im Schloss. Aber wer ihn reinsteckt ist offensichtlich der Besitzer und hat damit auch die Berechtigung zur Kontrolle...

You are right, it's not a real problem. First, after I got the plane, I expected that a payload weight which is stored will be back when I reloaded the flight. I was not used to go the Payload every time to get the stored weights back... Now, I am used to that procedure.

I have the same. Call it the "Preload-Problem". Recommendation: Whenever you start go first to the Preflight / Payload. Then right doubleclick in one of the three squares. Thats it. The old weights ar there again. Two pictures. One, with the red circles, shows the status after reloading a stored flight. The second shows it after right doubleclicking in one of the squares.

Yesterday, preparing a flight, suddenly a fly crawled along the instrument panel. Nothing special, not a horsefly, an ordinary fly. So there was no danger. What should I do? I decided to go the brutal way and killed her. Then she stuck to my instrument panel - but doesn't matter. It was her destiny, she became a victim of my secureness.

Super! Wichtig ist, dass ich mir bei Gelegenheit ein entsprechendes Bild hier runterladen kann. Deine Bilder sind irgendwie schärfer als meine und aus interessanten Perspektiven aufgenommen. Übrigens, auch ich gehe demnächst in Urlaub, kann also dauern...

Thank you for your advice. To illustrate my payload problem, have a look to the picture. It shows, as part of the manual - part 1, page 20 - exactly what I mean: 82.5 kg are 110 lbs and 2.1 kg are 0 lbs. That illustrates the problem. Instead of 187 lbs it realizes only 110 lbs. And whatever I do, the plane always starts with only 110 lbs...
And yes, I use FSX and the Setup file of the Katana as administrator.
What can I do? Does nobody other has this problems?

Yes it is saved, but when I choose another DA20 I have to do the same procedure again - you are right, as in real life...

Just one more question. I have Windows 7 HP 64 and installed the FSX in a special directory in the root of drive C. Not in the Program Files (x86) directory. May this cause the problem?

Sehr schöne Aufnahmen! Da Du offensichtlich gute Bilder machen kannst, gestatte mir die Frage, ob Du auch mal eins vom Cockpit machen könntest. Schräg und dicht von der Seite, sodass man die tollen Instrumente plastisch sehen kann. Und dann würde ich gerne wissen, ob Du mir erlauben würdest das Foto als Startbild für meinen FSX zu verwenden...

Thank you for the reply. Meanwhile I tried the three different internaional modes, cleared away special sceneries and saw that I used FSX as administrator. No result. But it seems to be an individual problem - so don't care. I will use always the right double click and that will solve my problem. Thanks again.

Ich weiß nicht, ob jemand mein Problem hat: Start mit ungewöhnlich steilem Anstieg. Wenn ja, so scheint es ein Problem mit dem Payload zu sein, zumindest bei mir. Eingabe z.B. 80 kg für den Piloten, ebenso für den Copiloten und 2 kg fürs Gepäck, macht 162 Kg. Wenn ich diesen Flug erneut lade, hat sich das Payload geändert - nicht bei den kgs sondern bei den lbs! Copilot und Gepäck stehen jetzt auf null lbs, der Pilot wiegt nur noch 110 lbs, insgesamt also statt 162 kg nur noch 50. Wer jetzt startet geht ab wie Lucie. Um die korrekten Werte wieder herzustellen, reicht es, mit der rechten Maustaste 2x in eins der drei Quadrate des Payload-Menüs zu klicken. Fertig.

I don't know if anyone has my problem: steeply going up in the sky. If, that seems to be a problem with the payload. I use Kgs. For example 80 for the pilot and 80 for the copilot, 2 for the baggage. Saving this flight and loading it again, the paiload has changed, not in Kgs but in pounds. The pilot got 110 lbs, the copilot 0 lbs and the baggage als zero. That means that I will start with only 50 kgs or 110 lbs instead of 162 kgs or 357 lbs. And so I will start very steeply. To get rid of it only right click twice in one of the three squares of the payload menue. Therefore, if you have this problem, always have a look to the payload before starting.

Sie "fehlen" weil in ihnen solche Fragen beantwortet werden: wie behandelt man den Lack, wie wird sie aufgebockt etc. Übrigens kann man bei DIAMOND das Orginal-Handbuch runterladen. Dann habt ihr auch die Teile 6 und 8 und ihr werdet euch dann fragen: und was soll ich damit?

Alles komplett vorhanden. Die Teile 6 und 8 behandeln irrelevante Themen: Masse und Schwerpunkt, Wartung und Pflege.

Wer VFR-Germany hat, kennt das Problem: das Wasser wird durch scharfrandige "Masken" dargestellt, die wie milchig-blaue Scheiben über dem Land liegen. Abhilfe kann ein kleines Freeware-Programm leisten, mit dem man das Wasser nach eigenem Gusto darstellen kann. Es heißt "FS Water Configurator" und kann hier runtergeladen werden: http://www.strikings....com/fswc.shtml
Das Programm ist einfach zu bedienen. Zur Auswahl stehen 16 schon fertigte Darstellungen - wem das nicht genügt, der macht sich halt sein eigenes Wasser! Hier einige Beispiele. Das jeweils obere Bild entspricht unverändert der normalen FSX-Darstellung, das darunter meinem eigenen Geschmack. Am Ende seht Ihr die konkreten Einstellungen.
