  1. Dear AES users and more specifically Mr Oliver Pabst,

Even FSX users have come to love the simplicity and personizeability of AES (if that's even a word :). At many airports we love watching the airstairs and jetways pull up woth the baggage carts, and we pay for exactly what we want. Now. FSDreamTeam Vancouver is due to be released imminently, if not in he next months. Umberto has made it clear that if there was a possibility of AES, he would put in no effort in the matter, due to GSX. Would it be possible for you, ore anybody with the tools, to make CYVR AES'd? Several FSX users would buy it faster than they can blink, which can only mean business for Aerosoft as a whole. As well, the jetways in AES are impeccable, as are the timings, sounds and designs. I feel I can speak for the FS community when I say that AES for YVR would be a must have, and would carry on the best-selling FS ground service add-on in history! Thank you, to anyone paying attention, and I hope to be flipying (with AES) into Vancouver as soon as possible.

Gee, I wonder why FSDT is supporting GSX?

  2. I am satified with GSX. Sure it does not control Jetways or have de-icing........yet. I fly mainly general avaition and Cargo planes, so Jetways are not a deal breaker. I just removed a few .bgl's and GSX does my Cargo parking areas. Not concerned about AI traffic, I fly online anyway. I Tried a passenger jet and the jetways did not work, thats why I started this post. Thanks for the reply.

  3. Rather dissapointing that I have to spend MORE money to get the jetways working. I knew it was AES compatable, I did not realize it was mandatory. Back to Cargo Planes. FYI, never asked about GSX , I use it and know it has nothing to do with the jetways. (GSX does not work due to multiple AFCAD's) I guess it is the same answer for Anchorage. Scenery is great. Thanks for the replies.

  4. Hi,

your airplane should be placed correct anyway. This little "mixe up" is because we have made more than one Afcad file for the airport to generate more realistic traffic and some very close Afcad´s like Chena River will also influence what FSX shows as airport name. In Anchorage it also happenes that, when choosing a PANC position FSX will show "Lake Hood" instead. But as I wrote, it should not have any influence on your aircraft placement.

Or is there another problem? I cannot read the screenshots as they are way too smal.

Ok thanks Thorsten, not a big deal. The scenery is great.

  5. I have noticed multiple duplicate parking spots on Fairbank X. Also when you click on some parking or gates, you get a different airport. Gate 1-6 shows Fairbanks seaplane base. Cargo parking 15 shows as Chena River. I have reinstalled the airport and have no addons for Alaska except ORBX PFJ, which does not extend that far north. Am I missing something? Other than that, the scenery is very good.

  6. Hi M arvic,

You have to register the product by login on the Updates section. Then there, you have to choose the product on the list by clicking in Do you have to register another product? link, then you have to choose Aerosoft-DHC 6 Twin Otter. Register it with the key and then you will be able to download the update.

    Cheers,

    Alex

As I indicated before, there is no Twin Otter in the drop down list in the product registraion area. Thanks anyway. Sent an email to Aerosoft and no reply yet, sent it yesterday.

  7. GSX doesn't seem to have docking systems with related boards and not even moving fingers. Further, no remote control from a second computer. For the moment I am stuck on AES...

GSX is very new, there are lots comming down the pipe for updates and improvements. Time is needed, and we all know most developers has a "teething" session with all new products.
