FSDG has already scheduled this, although it might take some time as they got other projects to do first. On their forums they're saying late 2019 as an estimation. Chances are that it'll just be Keflavik and not the rest of Iceland.

Thanks for the info. Let's hope we'll  see it sooner rather than later.

  2. I'm going to refrain from scenery requests. But there are 2 other ideas I want to put forward:

    1) A high-end transport helicopter for FSX/P3D, emphasis on flight dynamics, fully simulated systems and working autopilot. Personal favourites: Airbus Helicopters Dauphin or Puma...

    2) The same thing DarrianCZE posted: an Airport Tycoon game. Design your airport (or manage/improve an existing one), make it run, make it profitable, build new runways, taxiways, terminals...

    Thanks,

  3. I'm running FSX on a laptop that's already three years old. It was quite high end when I bought it though, running an intel core2 duo at 2x 2.53Ghz, 4 gig ram, 2x 500 GB hdd and an Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT . I installed a 64bit windows 7 prof on it, but it came originally with windows vista 32 bit.

I'm hoping it'll keep working for a while, as I don't have the funds to start from scratch (and there's not much possibility in updating a laptop).

It's not the best system anymore, but years of experience, and testing and tweaking got me a pretty solid FSX setup, that will keep running reasonably fine no matter what I throw at it.

As a flightsimmer, but also as a reviewer, I see a lot of new products making a pass over my system, and one trend I seem to note, is that the respected developers seem to be able to increase the visual quality of their products, without making them harder to run. It's sometimes even the other way around: newer and better looking products that run better than older and worse looking stuff... with my system, I can only applaud this...

  4. Hey Guys,

I'm sorry to say, I'll not be continuing the RTWC.

At the moment, I have too much other things on my head, and the fun of flying such strict legs with FSFS looking over my shoulder is gone.

I'm still flying, just not the RTWC.

To those of you who continue flying, have fun, and I'll see you around on the forum!

    Lars

P.S. That doesn't mean that I don't want to know how I did in phase 2, of course :P

  5. And now he's saying again: 'Landed without a proper approach OR off runway surface.'

Now, if he's making this remark because of the off runway part, he's just wrong. If he's making it because of the approach, well, he's again wrong lol...

terrible score though... but I have screenshots of the final approach and the rollout, so I can prove neither points are valid.

Shame, cause even if the 50 points are added, the score is still bad. Should be around 125 in the C-130...

Anyway, phase 2 finished... still not liking FSFS, though I have become a better virtual-pilot because of it.

here's the log from the final flight, screenshots coming soon.

  6. Hahaha, Smith keeps making up remarks: narrowly missed obstacles... LMAO... the entire flight (and especially the approach) was over water...

  7. And there it is once again! Getting really, really tired now...

I have a couple of screenshots from the approach this time: lined up 7 miles out, on the VASI from 4 miles out, and not deviated the slightest bit.

Also have screenshots from the rollout: no problem following the centerline!

Again, the points aren't that bad, but those stupid, stupid remarks...

Two flights to go, should be finished by Sunday... Just hoping FSFS stops making stupid remarks. I know full well myself when I screw up a landing... This one was as good as it gets...

  8. I know the scores aren't that bad, but I'm getting tired of these uncorrect remarks upon landing. There was hardly anything to improve on upon landing, and certainly the 'runway centerline' remark is just wrong. Anyway...
