AES UPGRADE
Hi Scott, I buy my credits on SimMarkets. Here's the link. http://secure.simmarket.com/aerosoft-online-aes-credits.phtml If you want to buy more than one credit pack you have to go through the purchase process for each one as it's not possible to purchase more than 1 at a time. Remember the more credits you buy the bigger the discount. i.e. you get bonus credits.

AES UPGRADE
Scott, You need to unzip 2.11 and install it. Afterwards you'll have the option to buy a credit for Liverpool. That option won't exist with earlier versions.

ISD LIRF Gate Number mismatch
Just to resolve this for others. There is a file that corrects the gate numbers at ISD's LIRF. The instructions on how to get it are in my message on AvSim here.

ISD LIRF Gate Number mismatch
Thanks Oliver. I have selected the alternative config and the gate numbers at LIRF now match the gate shown in the AES menu. However, when I choose GoTo Airport in FS9 and select LIRF the gate numbers are still shown as alpha-numeric. I'm going to have to find an alternative AFCAD as the gate numbers are definitely all numeric now as confirmed by my most recent Navigraph parking chart for LIRF. I'll look for one that hopefully matches your modified config. Kind regards,

ISD LIRF Gate Number mismatch
Oliver, You've been away so may have missed my message. Can you provide a solution to the problem described above please? I have no way of getting taxi guidance to the gates because of this mismatch with the gate numbers. Although the LIRF scenery was freeware I've paid 3 credits for AES support and would like to use the facilities. Thanks.

aes
Hi Leonard, Excellent!

Leonard, Manchester Xtreme is v1.42. Not sur why the message refers to 1.04. Have you tried Delta777's suggestion?
-
aes
In a word, yes. But I'm running FS9. Have you downloaded the latest EGCC Xtreme update? v1.42. I suggest you post more details. OS, version of FS, version of AES. Also, there is a update to AES 2.10. Have you installed that?

ISD LIRF Gate Number mismatch
Hi, The ISD LIRF scenery includes an AFCAD which shows the gate numbers as an Alpha character followed by a numeric. However the gate numbers available when using AES are all numeric. I wanted taxi guidance to Gate N3 but this wasn't available in AES. Is there an AFCAD available that allows them to match those in AES? Thanks.

Separate Volume adjustment for AES Sounds
So it is. However, I have selected maximum and it's still not loud enough. I suppose my only option is to edit the wavs and make them louder. Thanks.

Separate Volume adjustment for AES Sounds
Hi Oliver, Would it be possible for the various sounds played via AES to have their volume controlled separately from general FS sounds please? I find I need to increase the overall FS sound to hear the ground crew clearly. If a separate volume control was available it would help to get the balance better. Thanks and a Happy New Year.

Wheres my order?
Both PayPal and MasterCard have been the victims of cyber attacks by supporters of WikiLeaks. That's probably the reason for the delay.

Barcelona FS9 Initial realease Issues
Why not fly the same approach with a default 737 and see if the problem persists? If it doesn't then the problem may lie with the iFly. Just a thought.

I have problem AES 2.07
Delta777, you're far too polite. This individual is a thief. What a pity he/she can't be identified and globally blacklisted.
-
Remove ALL AES files
I thought Delta777 made it quite clear. You can remove AES from your system by deleting the entry in Scenery Library and removing the AES folder under Aerosoft. What you cannot do is drop some airports and add new ones with the credits you have already paid for. Those are tied to the airports you used them on.
-
AES 2.07
Credits are assinged permanently. You could fly in and out of EGLL a million times and still enjoy AES. Oliver may need to answer that one with the details but you can definitely use credits you have bought when you install FSX on a new PC.
-
AES 2.07
It's not possible to buy a standalone program as it doesn't exist. Instead you buy credits that you assign to airports that AES supports. Once you have assigned an airport to AES it isn't possible to reverse that action so choose with care. If you buy 10 credits you can assign 5 to a large airport such as EGLL, KJFK or EDDF. Many other airports cost less - 1, 2, 3 or 4 credits so your 'money' goes further. The bigger an airport the more it costs as it takes Oliver longer to develop it. The more credits you buy the greater the discount you receive. If you are still running FS9 and buy airports designed for FS9 and FSX you can use the AES credits for both airports effectively making them 1/2 price. New versions of the AES program are frequently allowing you to use new airports with AES. Once you're tried AES you'll never want to fly without it. Hope that helps.

Follow Me problem at LEBL
Hi Oliver, I think the main problem is FS2004 is my installation is 6 years old, I've had LEBL installed for over 5 and I'm a relatively new purchaser of AES. So when I saw LEBL was available in AES I assumed (wrongly as it turned out) that it was compatible with both runways. But all is not lost. If I wait until I cross 07L/25R before I request a Follow Me everything should be okay. Thanks for the news on the new version of LEBL.

Follow Me problem at LEBL
Hi Oliver, I can't remember if the original 'New Spanish Airports' package included the new runway 25L. It sounds from your reply that it was added afterwards, hence the problem. It's a pity this wasn't made clear when I purchased the credits. Although it's only 2 credits it is frustrating that full functionality is not available. If I'd known this I wouldn't have bought the credits. Do you know when Barcelona 2010 will be released? PS. If I land on 07L/25R will everything be okay?

Follow Me problem at LEBL
Hi Oliver, I have the New Spanish Airports package (several years old) which includes LEBL - Barcelona. After landing on 25L and exiting the runway at the far end I requested the follow me to Gate A1. The attached screenshot show the position of my aircraft (Red X) when I first requested the Follow Me. C shows where the Follow Me appeared. I cancelled the request and rerequested at the blue X. This time the Follow Me took me to A1 but he taxiied up Rwy 02 which is an active runway. My path is shown by the dotted line. This doesn't seem normal behaviour. Taxiway DA seems a better routing. Have you any idea why it is happening? At all other airports I have AES for everything is great. Thanks.
-
Be honest. Have you ever...
I'm so pleased I'm not the only one! You got out of that tricky situation well Rafal. Now the big question, does Oliver?
-
Be honest. Have you ever...
waved back to the ground controller after he gives you the sign you can start taxiing? I'm guilty on one or two occasions. Am I taking it too seriously?

Jetway Problem at EHAM
Aren't doors over wings for emergency use only? Personally I wouldn't configure those for use by AES. There is an option in the aircraft configurator to tell AES to ignore them. There are doors at the front and rear of the fuselage and I would configure only those.

Upgrading
Hi, Buying credits and updating AES to 2.06 are two separate actions. You can buy extra credits whilst 2.04 is installed and when you update to 2.06 they will still be available. Or you can update to 2.06 and then buy credits and end up the same. The main reason to upgrade to the latest version is that new airports are supported that won't be available to you if you stay with older versions.
