ldee247 3
Hi,I need help and advise I'm wondering what I want to achieve if possible .I have a Thrustmaster Hotas Wathog Joystick and Throttles Quadrant and I'm trying to config Flaps and Speed Brakes.I have FSUIPC installed and have managed to config Flaps and speed brake but I have noticed my Thrustmaster Flap button has a three stage UP,MVR,DN. Whereas in the Airbus it has Flap UP, 1,2,3,& 4. The only issue I'm having is when select Flap DN which is the last stage on Flight Control straight away in my airbus it jumps to Flaps full. How best can I achieve this to sync or resolve this issue. Thank you Regards Lloyd
Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted September 2, 2014 Aerosoft Share Posted September 2, 2014 Is there a reason why you use FSUIPC for that? There is no easy way (or any way as far as I can see) to make that 3 setting flaps switch behave like a 5 setting switch.
ldee247 3
Hi Mathijis ,and thanks for responding... The reason I use FSUIPC is that I fly PMDG B737,NGX and B777 and I have my control mapping setup through FSUIPC and with this configuration I had to delete all Joystick control axes, brakes and rudder etc.By so doing I realized the Airbus x would not respond and I had to set it through FSUIPC as well sending Calibration to FSUIPC. I'm open to suggestions or advice and willing to learn which you think will work best for me.I might have taken the wrong path configuring Airbus x through FSUIPC but I was also following tutorials from the Aerosoft forum and FSUIPC setup guide that you can not have controls enabled both in Fsx and FSUIPC at the same time or there will end up conflicting.. I hope you will be able to assist me, I have no problem reverting to what the best settings and what will give me best flying in Airbus x. Also looking forward for the current big project on the new Airbus x a318/319 you guys are working on. Cheers Best Regards Lloyd
KAPTEJNLN 237
I have also been tryeing using FSUIPC and default, together by the airbus, the only reason I used FSUIPC was due to my hardware for throttle as it was not seen by the PC like a device, there for i was forced to use it. but most devices can be seen like yours, so go the default way is always best. Fsuipc could then be used for all other stuff then axis when it comes to airbus series.. That way I find it best.. but I don´t understand what you wan´t by the flaps, as you dont have enough stages of the device..

I think I'm going to disable or clear the Rudder and Brakes settings within FSUIPC and only leave the Throttles wit h FSUIPC. If you don't mind me asking you mentioned to go default way is the best,do you currently have instructions and settings to go default way...Thanks Lloyd
KAPTEJNLN 237
well by default way I mean use FSX default settings only for axis, if it does not work you need to clean the FSUIPC4.ini file as even you don´t have axis asigned anymore for throttles, as If settings are right it would affect FSX even axis is no longer asigned in fsuipc, to chek that out move the file FSUIPC4.ini normaly only shown as FSUIPC4 in the Modules folder located in the "FSX" folder.. to a SAFE location els where on your mashine It´s not a nice job to do, so I would say if you mean it runs good enough the way you got it now don´t start edit just remember it for next instalation.. you could also send the data from inside FSUIPC.ini file in a privat msg to me as we are moving over in another off topic here. Then I would have a look at it to se if I can get you back to default input from FSX for Throttles as well. ofcause I cant promis wounders but there are some lines I got in mind and want to se if it´s the problem you might have I love FSUIPC as i can´t go whit out but to keep things simple for users it´s easyer that way as support cross varius programs and combinations just confuse some users and in the end get a bad experince and it´s only because it´s a such powerfull tool that you realy have to learn, I don´t even master it.. I got a lot of help from pete a few years ago where whit out him i would got my throttle device work the way i did by programing lua for it.. Yes I got problems by airbus that way and why, when I got this device I only use default settings for axis.. you can set it up to run the default input throu FSUIPC but then i say whats the point for most users as if not set right it cause more fustration then good is..
