TaipanDan 5
Hi All, Everytime I plan a flight with the Dash 8, step climb is defaulted to 2000ft. Is there any way to change the aircraft profile so that the default answer to Step Climb is "No". Or any global setting? Many thanks
FlyPrecisely 124
You can calculate your flight twice. At the first calculation you'll get your FL profile, at the second you can lock the ceiling with the first initial FL in dispatch menu.RegardsMykyta
TaipanDan 5
Hmm I think there is a misunderstanding. Even with my problem I only need to calculate once. But I just don't want to have to remember to disable step climb setting on every flight with an aircraft that never step climbs... If I have to do it twice it is even worse.. JPL19 11
You could try editing the AC profile. Under Performance Adjustments there is a field "Last Step Climb" in NM. Put that distance at some distance greater than your flight distance, and it may work. I normally do exactly as Mykyta describes as well, however. TaipanDan 5
Thanks, I tried editing that in the aircraft profile, to 99999, and to 1, and both didn't make a difference, it still doesn't set step climb field to "No". Would be good to have a boolean yes/no field on aircraft or performance profiles that specify whether or not they are capable of step climb.
