X-Plane 10 now on STEAM

We are happy to announce that X-Plane 10 Global is now available on STEAM. We feel this is a very important step for this simulator because STEAM opens the simulator to a whole new group of customers and will widen the appeal of this most modern of Flight Simulations. Of course the ease of use of STEAM (paying, installing, updating etc) will help many new users make their first take-off into our fascinating hobby. No matter how you think about STEAM, it is part of the gaming future. Of course we’ll still keep selling the boxed version that does not need STEAM and we’ll soon have a complete download version on our own shop as well.

When you buy X-Plane you get the base simulator with Seattle. The rest of the world can be downloaded when you need it (without additional cost of course!). This is done so you will not have to spend hours downloading areas you will never visit. The complete product is 100% the same as the boxed version. The price for X-Plane 10 Global on STEAM is €54.99.

Our own X-Plane add-ons will soon be available on STEAM as well. If you are X-Plane developer and would like to get your add-on on STEAM as well you can contact us. Because of STEAM regulations only the publisher of the game is allowed to insert add-on to hat game on STEAM. Please understand that this is not something we chose, this is something STEAM demands (something we do not feel is the best way to handle add-ons). We have no intention to choke the development of X-Plane add-ons in any way but we do have the experience and know-how to get things on STEAM. Contact us at support@Aerosoft.com for more information.
