sf4JC 1
Sorry for the late reply, ridgeskimmer, I've been on a long vacation and just got back. I will look into how I go about doing this later this week and give you an overview of what I find. I have successfully done this for some projects in the past where I have used real-life IGC files from contests like major ridge soaring Grand Prix's as well as experimented with real-life thermal soaring competitions. To get a somewhat correct wind and weather condition for a particular area and particular time, I use http://www.wunderground.com/history/ . If the event that I am trying to model has any weather reports documented, I will take that into consideration, too. I'll have more on this later, I am still trying to get caught up with all the emails and such I didn't get to while on the trip. Scott
