Making an Aircraft profile - a question

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Currently I'm working on a Fokker F70 profile for PFPX (And perhaps TOPCAT), using the AOM from my company.

Now I'm kinda stuck here with a few questions..

For example:

The climb table for 2 engines cruise control (in which you can find time needed, fuel needed and distance needed to reach a certain altitude with a certain A/C Weight.).

The 'FL' row goes like this: 100-150-200-210-230-250-270-290-310-330-350, and the TOW row goes like this: 26-28-30-32-34-36-38 (x1000KGs ofcourse).

However: The tables found in the A/C profile file for PFPX, uses whole different FL's and A/C Weights. For example: The FL row in the PFPX A/C Profile file range from 28000 to 44000, which is above the Fokker's ceiling altitude of 35000ft. Can I take over the tables as they are discribed in the AOM or do I have to start calculating to get the numbers for the FL's and A/C Weights as stated in the PFPX A/C Profile file? (Fokker 70 Tay 620-15.txt')

I hope this makes any sense, if not, please ask me to clearify!

Stefan

Hi Stefan,

The climb data in the Fokker 100 profile bundled with PFPX ranges from 28000-44000KG and 11000-35000 feet, Weights run left to right in PFPX tables, altitudes are defined in the leftmost column, starting low and climbing. You have to keep that format or PFPX will not recognise the data.

Hope that helps, I have sent you a pm also.

Cheers

Jon
