HUEY X Force Trim System Inop?

How can I get the Force Trim System to work? I select the switch to 'on', the switch moves to 'on', the 'Tool Tip' indicates that it is 'on', but the trim does not respond! The hydraulic system switch is 'on'! Regards, jernie.

Force trim is not featured by FSX.

FSUIPC comes with an forcetrim function though.

But as it is now the switch is merely a dummy for procedural purposes.

Unacceptible answer!!!!!!If DODOSIM can do it with their 206 & Eagle Dynamics can do it with their Black Shark, surely your programmers can come up with a workable Force Trim system ? OR some other suitable attitude controller! .....HUEY X is an excellent helo sim, except for the lack of a stabilizing system! It gives you a fighting chance when you change views (A key) to perform some flight-related function! In the 'real world' you have your periphoral vision to maintain 'situational awareness; in Flt Sim you are completely blind' no art hor, no outside refs. You must hold the stick absolutely still in its last-known position, which is extremely difficult without some reference, while attempting to 'click' on a moving spot!!!! Regards jernie.

This, taken directly from the Dodosim website:

Force trim: Due to popular demand rather than simulation accuracy, the DodoSim 206 FSX has been fitted with a cyclic “Force Trim” system to relieve pilot workload during flight when using spring-centred PC joysticks.

As to what you find `unacceptible` (does spell check not work where you are?), it really doesn't matter when you haven't provided the solution as to how this would work both with spring-loaded force feedback joysticks and potentiometer controlled devices and why you demand UNrealism..?

And by the way, there IS a solution to your problem. It's just that with your unacceptable attitude and capricious demands unfettered by intelligence or common sense I am not inclined to share it with you...

Force trim is NOT featured by FSX.

Black shark is a total different simulator and has nothing in common with FSX other than they both try to simulate helicopter dynamics.

The way Dodosim has simulated it (which btw is custom coded and not part of FSX) isn´t the way it works in the Huey anyway.

The "FORCE TRIM" Switch enables the artificial feel on the cyclic, wich cannot be done in FSX. The actual trim switch, which is enabled by the "FORCE TRIM" switch, is placed on the cyclic.

This is how a real Force trim system is made...

Not featured on the Huey, but neither done right in the Dodosim.

And for that reason it will not work realistically with ANY spring-loaded joystick or self-centring force feedback device.

If that is `unacceptible` then take it up with MS. Perhaps they will find you a solution in MS Flight...

...or maybe not, as the problem is with the HARDWARE, not the software or the addon developer.

Of course, there is a partial solution. I've used it for years.
