FSXaddict 18
Absolutely beautiful airport and scenery. I'd love it! That's my idea of flying. I miss the Smokeys.
BPL 39
Like I said, they may not be able to make an addon for it because it's a private airport, but there are also some beautiful public airports in the NC mountains. Jackson County Airport is a public airport that's also on top of a mountain. I live in NC, so these places are only a few hours drive away from me. FSXaddict 18
I'm sure it would be nearly impossible to get what would be required to make this scenery, but if it could be done it would be incredible scenery. I'd love a VFR Smokey Mountain scenery package with airports. It truly is beautiful country.
BPL 39
I'd love a VFR Smokey Mountain scenery package with airports. That's a great idea! I wish Aerosoft would make something like that. Maybe called "VFR Appalachia" or something. If anybody can do it, Aerosoft can.
BPL 39
If they made VFR Germany, they could make VFR Appalachia.
Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted June 12, 2009 Aerosoft Share Posted June 12, 2009 A while back, before I was a member of this forum, I emailed Aerosoft suggesting this airport as a scenery addon. I don't remember exactly what their reply was, but they didn't do it. I just wanted to see what the rest of you thought of it. It's an airport in the mountains of North Carolina called Mountain Air (2NC0). The runway is on top of a mountain and has steep drop offs at each end. The runway also slopes, so runway 14 is preferred for takeoff, and 32 for landing. The airport is part of a housing development, and is privately owned, so you may not be able to make an addon scenery for it.Here are some links to pictures and info:http://www.airnav.com/airport/2NC0http://www.mtnair.org/http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.sear...&thumbnails=We are doing a project similar to that in Andras Field. More info on this soon. We will not do this airport, the market will just not be able to pay for the development costs. Doing a poll on that simply will not change that.
