SimPilot767 157
i would like to change my "old" nvidia Geforce 7900 GT/GTO to a new nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS. now i heard, that therefore you have to delete the fsx.cfg to let FSX create a new one with the parameters of the new card. But what happens to all the entries in the fsx.cfg, that were written by addons like MytrafficX, FSMAP, etc...? do i have to copy these entries manually??? any experiences? Thanks, Timo
wilkin52 0
Timo, I recently did the same. Yes it is safe, just delete the .cfg and boot up the sim. All the entries will find their way back in. I made a backup just in case. Oh yes and your keys will need to be re-defined if you have made changes. Cheers, Dan
Snave 466
Absolutely NO need to do all that. Just delete the lines after [DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT.0] or whetever yours reads. Boot the sim Reset your visual preferences - res, AA, A/F etc Done
