Aerosoft SimWare 730 Posted July 20, 2021 Aerosoft Share Posted July 20, 2021 How to configure the Logitech X52 throttle with the MSFS CRJ The X52 throttle is a very basic single-lever quadrant. There is a detent at the bottom of the course of the lever. However this detent is purely mechanical and does not trigger any input. The reversers will therefore be configured in the CRJ EFB and NOT in the simulator configuration. Only the throttle axis assignment is made from within the simulator. IMPORTANT : On the side of the X52 quadrant is a lever-resistance-adjustment knob. If the resistance is too high, the reverser detent may not be “felt” anymore. It is therefore recommended to lower the resistance as much as possible. Rotate the knob clockwise to decrease resistance. Please login to display this image. STEP 1 : Create a new controller profile for the X52 and name it “AEROSOFT CRJ” for instance. For the full and detailed profile creation process, please see the tutorial below. STEP 2 : - Set the FILTER to “ALL” - Locate the “THROTTLE AXIS” under POWER MANAGEMENT -> THROTTLE Please login to display this image. STEP 3 : - Assign the lever axis to the “THROTTLE AXIS” function - Press VALIDATE Please login to display this image. STEP 4 : - The lever is now assigned. - Do NOT check the “REVERSE AXIS” box as the polarity should be consistent with the CRJ lever. - Click APPLY AND SAVE Please login to display this image. STEP 5 : - Go to the CRJ-EFB, start the throttle calibration utility. - Check “Single Axis” - Check “Throttle hardware has a reverser axis” - Only the “Eng#1” settings will be active. - Manually position the throttle lever to each of the corresponding “Throttle Position” and for each of them, click the corresponding “SET” blue button. - Press OK Please login to display this image.
