canadagoose 0
Thought I would run the Updater and it shows NO Installed products on the Left side. I get 8 iterations of: : folder does not exist! ***this product will be ignored!*** : folder does not exist! ***this product will be ignored!*** : folder does not exist! ***this product will be ignored!*** : folder does not exist! ***this product will be ignored!*** : folder does not exist! ***this product will be ignored!*** : folder does not exist! ***this product will be ignored!*** : folder does not exist! ***this product will be ignored!*** : folder does not exist! ***this product will be ignored!*** Any ideas what is going on here? BTW I am using version 1.6.0.0 Regards TS
canadagoose 0
I just found the following thread: So, I suppose I should have posted over there. I followed the instructions and now the updater briefly comes up and closes quickly, but I do not see this any more: : folder does not exist! ***this product will be ignored!***

canadagoose 0
.....................and?
canadagoose 0
Not so, didn't work for me. There seems to be a slew of threads regarding this very issue and I have not found an answer to it. The Updater worked at least a month ago, and all of a sudden it stops functioning. Could it be related to the last time I updated my products? I am not sure of the date, but I have updated the Airbus Pro V5 to v1.4.0.1 and the CRJ Pro V5 to v2.2.0.0. So I dunno. Developer Hans Hartmann 2692 Posted October 13, 2020 Developer Share Posted October 13, 2020 Please check the XML files in <Documents>\Aerosoft\ASUpdater\Products. They look like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <!-- DO NOT MODIFY THIS FILE! AEROSOFT SUPPORT WILL NOT HELP YOU IF YOU DO! --> <ASUpdater> <ProductData Name="Aerosoft A318-A319 Professional" Platform="P3D5" AUID="as_a318_a319_prof_p3dv5" UseAddonXML="1" AddonName="F:\P3D5 Add-ons\Aerosoft A318-A319 Pro V5"> <Version Installed="1.4.0.3" /> </ProductData> </ASUpdater> The part I marked bold is the installation path of the product that can't seem to be found. Please check all files if they have the right folder (or zip and upload the whole products folder and tell me where your Aerosoft products are installed).
canadagoose 0
OK, thanks for that, I checked all my xml's and they were prefaced with "?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>", I did not have "<". I added that to the preface and changed it to "<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>". The Updater appears to be working now and looks like this: I am not sure what these two items mean: folder does not exist! *** This product will be ignored! *** : folder does not exist! *** This product will be ignored! *** Regards. Developer Hans Hartmann 2692 Posted October 15, 2020 Developer Share Posted October 15, 2020 To figure these out you need to check the AddonName="...." part which I highlighted in my previous post. In two of the product XML files there's a path that doesn't match the one on your system. It's likely that the products with the missing "<" are the ones. Regarding the missing "<"... I will forward this to the installer guys as it means that there's a potential issue with the creation of the XML file by the installers.
