Richard Portier 5
Hello, It seems that there are some "glitches" in the conversion of an dummy point from PFPX to Airbus. However PFPX>>>Fsx is correct. I created a flight plan with PFPX in which I added a fictive fix. In the options of PFPX, I saved the plan to Airbus and FSX format. The Fix in PFPX and Fsx is : N43°31'59.99" W121°16'59.99" The conversion in the MCDU give : N44°00'0" W112°00'0" !!! This only applies to the dummy point the rest of the flight plan is correct. Thank you in advance, Regards, Richard Portier
silenthunter183 1
Probably, it's a problem of decimal places and method of coordinates coding. There are two ways to write coordinates - 7 digit and 5 digit (more common is with 5 digits) So, you can wrote your point in 7 digit like that: 42N121W and in a 5 digit method: 44N21 Helpful tables for hemispheres: For norther hemisphere 60N180W-60N100W : 60N80-60N00 60N099W-60N001W : 6099N-6001N 60N000E-60N099E : 6000E-6099E 60N100E-60N179E : 60E00-60E79 and for souther hemisphere 60S180W-60S100W : 60W80-60W00 60S099W-60S001W : 6099W-6001W 60S000E-60S099E : 6000S-6099S 60S100E-60S179E : 60S00-60S79 MCDU only can recognize 5 digit coordinates coding - e.g. your point - 44N21 PFPX prefers 7 digit method. Also worth mentioning - this methods can't contain coordinates in minutes and seconds. They are containing only deegres. So maybe there's a problem. I hope this helps you, Regards.
