SimPilot767 157
Today I installed my new Go-Flight LGT from aerosoft and the actual driver (1.71) from the Go-Flight website. In FS9, everything works fine - but in FSX the LGT-module is not detected. Only if I start the file"GFDevFSX.exe" in the Go-Flight folder manually, everything works. Why does FSX not detect the Go-Flight modules ?
João Pinto 23
Go-Flight come with a new dll that must run while you open FSX. I suggest you reinstall the 1.71 driver and when loading FSX MAKE SURE you say yes to the prompt windows. Each time you run FSX you must say "yes" to another prompt unless you add that dll to the "trusted programs" list within FSX.cfg, but you don't need to do this if you're not comfortable with editing the cfg. Just "yes" each time you open FSX. Without this, nothing works properly.
SimPilot767 157
Thanks, Jon, for your immediate answer, but the problem is, that there are no windows popping up while loading fsx! No chance to say "yes" to anyting! is there a possbility or the need to add the dll-files in the fsx.cfg manually? Thanks, Timo
SimPilot767 157
Okay, found a kind of solution here: http://www.goflightinc.com/cgi-bin/ikonboa...;f=5;t=492;st=0 It has to do with the english and german version of windows xp. Go-Flight wants to write an exe.xml-file in the "documents and settings"-folder of windows. In the german version, this folder has the name "dokumente und Einstellungen" so Go-Flight is not able to create the needed file. By editing an exe.xml file manually - like described in the topic above - the problem is fixed. Timo
João Pinto 23
Good to ear that... You know, it's hard for a company to work around the language barrier, especially in programming language.
