I would say that if you can make a MSFS A333 you can also make an A350 that is somewhat believable. All this talk about ultra realism is partly just PR. There are enough A350 FCOMs floating around on the net. There are also enough videos and pictures to be found. Then you have some pilots that are willing to assist.
The A350, IRL, can also be flown when having an A330 Typerating and doing just a few simulator missions as a RW Pilot. The A350 flight characteristics are closely matched to the A330 because of this.
MSFS add ons do not need to model different internal A350 Network environments, systems and such. If you are just doing normal SOPs you could get a pretty good A350 if you took the A330 code as a baseline. Engine wise there is also not that much of a difference to the Trents except for fuel flow and small parameters that a sim pilot would not notice at all when comparing the two.
I can see that the Airport Navigation Function and BTV would be the biggest differences with the A333 and maybe AS could just switch them inop for the initial release.
Hoping for that A350 in MSFS….

That sounds a lot like a recommendation for the 777 product as the AS Bus will only do normal SOP stuff. Just buy the AS A333 some weeks after release. It will be available way sooner and we can finally fly some Airbus longhaul flights in MSFS. And let‘s not kid ourselves, we will probably all buy that 777 (with or without EFB ) anyway when it is out.- 1

737NG Driver has been on the AS (Test) Team since he was four or something. It was really interesting and a joy to see how he went from simmer to RW ATPL pilot. It was also very unfortunate that he was forced to fly 1950s tech in his first few years as a ReAL pilot. But now he will come back to the fold and fly modern aircraft like you would expect in 2023...
As he was a tester from day one for the FSX Airbus it will be interesting to see what YT content he will make when he has a RW Airbus Typerating and talk about his experience!

No need to watch A330 CBTs, if you can fly the A320 in MSFS you can also fly the A330. (Sure, tell that the unfortunate pilot that wrecked his A330 during landing at an high altitude/high air density airport )
From a pilot‘s perspective the aircraft are basically the same. What is different though is the ops. Best thing to do to prepare for A330 flights, imo, is to visit those far away airports you are going to fly to and do some „local“ sectors there with an A320 to get a feel for ATC/topography/procedural side of things. This will pay out dividends when going there with the A330 later on. Visiting some of those far away EDTO (ETOPS) airports with an A320 will also make you a more proficient future A330 longhaul pilot.

Those poor devs. Doing a beta this way will ensure delay after delay to get to a release candidate because of all the new bug findings.

Just to close this off-topic branch; but yes. Anyone can go to a flightschool and buy themselves a flight in an GA aircraft with an Instructor.
And if you took Mathijs’s mention of learning to fly an airliner as actually being in an airliner then there are many opportunities to also buy you some time in an airliner Simulator with an instructor.

I find the notion to switch on hydraulic pumps when on ground to check for leaks „interesting“ from a pilot‘s perspective. I just assumed you are a real world Airbus pilot when you stated that. There are so many different ways of doing things that I was just interested to know which airline does something like this…Airbus recently changed it‘s checklists for example and I was scratching my head why I should check if the landing lights are switched off in the parking checklist. It happens that some pilot forgot to switch them off and the heat of the landing light cooked off the emergency slide and it deployed into the jetway. You hear something new almost every other day in the aviation world…

Note the sounds. What you hear is NOT the engines starting, it's just the cooling fans in the panel. They are very very loud. In fact, while in cruise you hear more cooling fans then wind noise or engine noise. Just try explaining that to new customers.. archhhh.

first of all, thumbs up for doing an exellent job. I have to correct you on the cooling fan soundset though. I have the pleasure of sitting in an A320 Family cockpit almost 10 hours a day. The noise the cooling fan(s) make is spot on for the older models of the Bus. The one Aerosoft is modeling, newer generation with LCD's and such, are actually quite silent. Only during electrical power switching do the fans, low speed/high speed, make some noise. But I am just nitpicking here. Keep up the good work!!!
