  1. Hi all

First of all, let me say this post is not meant to antagonise anyone or be construed as some kind of ultimatum. Very simply, I just want to ask if we are going to see any FS9 products being developed by Aerosoft ever again? I am sure I am not alone in having not moved to FSX. It would be very sad news if FS9 is dead as far as Aerosoft is concerned. Please keep in mind those of us who yearn for new FS9 products. If you won't, then you'll have lost this customer for good.

  2. ... would this add-on replace the stock Acceleration FA/18 in FSX missions?

To be honest, it depends on what you're looking for. If you want an aircraft that you can pretty much hop into, press Ctrl-E to start the engines and then head off into the sky without worrying about all the systems of the aircraft being simulated in minute detail, then the Acceleration Hornet is for you. If you're looking for something more in-depth with a fully functional VC and lots of systems being simulated (I think only the classified - i.e. top secret - military systems aren't simulated), then the VRS Super Hornet is for you. But really, the Acceleration Hornet is nowhere near as good as the VRS Hornet. It's not even all that good in terms of payware in my opinion. The aircraft doesn't even sit right on the ground the way I see it and the VC is nothing to get excited about. Granted, the VRS Super Hornet is currently only available in FS9. But the FSX version of the VRS Super Hornet is just around the corner (pretty much, anyway) and when the FSX version is released, it is expected to blow the Acceleration Hornet out of the virtual sky.

  3. The HUD & the rest of the Avionics on the VR Simulation F-18 looks like its been copied from the f-18 (acceleration expansion pack) & it was nothing special

You're not serious, are you? You really believe that Jon and the rest of the VRS team have copied the Acceleration Hornet from Captain Sim? Are you out of your mind? Have you been smoking weed lately? The Acceleration Hornet is pretty crap and doesn't come anywhere near the VRS Super Hornet in terms of systems and functionality. You really ought to get your facts straight and correct before making such ridiculously uninformed posts. As for comparing the Aerosoft F-16 to the VRS F/A-18E Superhornet, again there is no comparison. The F-16 is barely there in terms of systems, compared to the accurate fly-by-wire controls and in-depth syste,s simulated in the VRS Super Hornet. Oh, and Mathjis, anyone who says the VRS Super Hornet is too hard to make and won't sell needs to have a very serious rethink about their chosen career because that's simply not true.

  4. Hi guys

Just a quick note, if I could make a small suggestion. I'm looking at the Ibiza X scenery addon that has just been released for both FS9 and FSX. Love the screenshots, which brings me to my suggestion.

There is no indication as to whether the screenshots are from FS9 or FSX. Could you please (from now on) place a little "FS9" or FSX" watermark or logo in a corner of each screenshot to allow us to know if we are looking at a screenshot from FS9 or FSX? It would avoid confusion and potential disappointment if someone purchased the product thinking the screenshots were of FS9 only to find out it doesn't look the same when they install it on FS9 because the screenshots were actually from FSX. Conversely, it may cause someone who wants the FSX version not to buy it if they think screenshots are of FS9, not FSX.

I hope this is a useful suggestion.

    Regards,

    Matthew

  5. Here in Australia, one of biggest (if not the biggest) retailers of computer products is Harvey Norman. I believe they have the largest computer store in the southern hemisphere just a couple of hours drive north of Sydney near my old home town of Newcastle! Their website is: http://www.harveynorman.com.au/

I'd love to see more products on the shelves of their stores - particularly those from Aerosoft!!! If you guys strike a deal with them, could you let me know? There's a good Harvey Norman store only an hour from where I currently live (Coffs Harbour, NSW - Australia) and that would be great if I could buy Aerosoft products from there.

  6. Okay, I've got the demo - thanks. I have one more question. Will the boxed English version be available on the shelves of shops in Australia any time soon? I can only pay for download versions of products via Paypal as I don't have a credit card. I am sick of waiting a week or so for the payment to be cleared before I can install the product I've paid for. So the only way to get a product quickly, is the boxed version in the shop on the shelf.

  7. Guys, I realise this is not the support forum for this product, but can someone tell me where the demo version is? I've searched high and low through the product website without success. Clicking a link named "demo" just takes you to a page with some fix for some steering wheel problem, nothing else. Anyone able to help? I'd like to "try before I buy" if possible!

  8. Can someone please change the security function of this forum so that entering the security code is all upper case or all lower case??? I just spent ten (10) infuriating minutes trying to get the damn security code to work because I could not tell if the letters were upper or lower case. Talk about frustrating!!!

  9. Hi all

I'd like to ask if it is possible for the Aerosoft online shop to include an option to select a different currency for products other than the current US dollar. It would be nice if you could include others, such as the Australian dollar, the GB pound, Japanese Yen, and so on. Could this be done?

    Regards,

    Matthew

  10. I hope that the AVSIM management take this very serious crime up with the FBI. I fail to see what is to be gained by the hacker destroying AVSIM. It was a website for aviation enthusiasts, not a top-secret Pentagon database! If the moronic lowlife or lowlife's who did this reads this post, you are the scum of the earth and I hope that you are found, arrested, fined an enormous amount and jailed for a bloody long time. There is no glory to be had through your actions. Society is far better off without losers like you. Here's hoping a power surge blows up every microchip you own.

  11. If this product is yet to be released and you guys would like to include a real-world route from Sydney, Australia to Antarctica and back again I can provide it for you. It is the actual flight plan for a scenic Qantas flight in a Boeing 747-438ER I did a few years ago. It took around 13 hours flying time. Qantas do a few of these flights during the Southern Hemisphere summer annually. It's definitely worth the expense if you get the opportunity to do it! I could also provide some pictures from the flight if you like? Please let me know.

    Kind regards,

    Matthew
