  1. Leave out ATC: it is so much regional-dependant, you just cannot get that right. Instead provide a framework where online-networks like VATSIM can easily plug in.

Comments from others on that please? Keep in mind that we need to get NEW users in the sim as well and they will expect some ATC in the base sim.

    I agree with this 100%

Try as hard as you will, you will never get better ATC than talking to a real person realtime.

I've never flown with default ATC in FS8 FS9 or FSX and never will.

    As I've always flown online.

I can see your point about catering to the NEW simmer.

But we're trying to simulate Realworld operations. What better way than to have real people controlling you.

    Cheers

  2. Alright I’ll shake my head at this one.

Will the default airports of FSX be compatible with FSX's version of AES?

WHY??? You realize there are over some 24,000 airports in FSX.

    Which ones get done?

Would it make sense to make a default and add-on AES'd airport?

Because that would make the product much more attracting since there aren't any add-on sceneries for some very interesting airports, like for example Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

Really?? You realize your on the Aerosoft website right? Go look at the sceneries for FSX, Look pretty interesting to me.

And you know they're making a FSX EHAM right?

To be honestly, if the default airports won't be supported, the product won't make much sense to me as I often fly from Schiphol to many other default FSX airports.

Again really? Go purchase some add-on scenery, Add some environment add-ons. And I guarantee you won't fly into another default airport again.

    Cheers

  3. After flying into Heathrow I don't know how many times I've noticed something.

Now, not sure if I missed this in the past or if it has been fixed.

    Flying CLH4774 EDDS-EGLL. Decided to park T2 Stand 202.

When I noticed the tarmac indentifier was upside down and inverted.

    Huh, never saw that before.

    Has this been addressed before?

    Was it patched?

I've enclosed a pic of the corrected one. (by me)

  4. Thanks for the quick reply Oliver, Although I think you might have misundertsood my second question.

Would I be able to when Cycling through the gates to have it show what aircraft it's meant for.

So when you request a gate it would show as.

Request Followme to Position: GATE 1 Heavy

    or

Request Followme to Position: GATE 125 Medium

    Something like that.

If that is what you meant in your response sorry.

That is planned, but I don't know on each airport, where the deice areas are, so it is maybe difficult to implement on all airports.

I'd be more than willing to send some airport charts with the De Ice Areas. As I have the Current world charts.

    Cheers

  5. Evening all.

After a wonderful winters departure out of Toronto (CYYZ) on the wknd, I had noticed the VATSIM ATC had a comment that De Icing was available.

I know it's available from the main menu and that you are de iced right at the Stand/Gate.

Would it be at all possible that it could be setup to de ice at the designated de Ice pads?

Is it a feature that is tied to the gate position or the aircraft?

    Just curious.

Secondly. I've noticed that now in the menu you have listed the airport and version number.

Although I don't know why you would need to know which airport your at.

Anyway, would it be possible when cycling through the arrival gates that you could have the gate type shown as well?

Meaning when Flying into say Frankfurt and your in your 747, and you cyle through your gate only to arrive and find out it's for small aircraft.

It would be nice to be able to know which gates are Gate Small, Gate Medium, Gate Heavy.

    Thanks for listening

    Cheers

  6. Searching the forum would have called back many a return.

    7 posts down.

    From Oliver Pabst

    Hi,

when you install AES on a clean new PC, you can add and assign Credits as normal, but you lose all setting and configs.

The best way is, to save all *.DAT Files you find in the ..\Aerosoft\AES maindir and create a ..\Aerosoft\AES directory on the new PC, copy the files there and then start the newest Installer. The Installer will add all needed program files, but keeps the setting and all Credits and assignments are back. Then you only need to mark all you allready installed addon Airports to "FS9" in the list, then all parts are back there too.

In this case, also you Aircraft-Door-Settings (Intelliscene.cfg) should be back, aslong as the Aircraft is installed in the same Subdirectoryname below AIRCRAFT as on the old PC (what should be automatically for all payware aircrafts)

    Cheers

  7. Simflyers in no longer in business and there sceneries are outdated and no longer available for purchase.

I would guess the answer is No.

As for the Flytampa. Again my money would be on No.

KMIA and KTPA are the oldest products by Flytampa and are not even going to be updated by FT.

    Cheers

  8. As per the AES update posted Mar04

    in development:

CYYZ - Toronto 2007 of Dennis di Franco (waiting for developers response)

WIII - Jarkarta of Buddy Santoso (waiting for developers response)

I guess the only person who would know if Dennis replied would be Oliver.
