If you want to fly over a decently realistic terrain in Europe or the USA in autumn or winter replacement textures are a must have. Central Europe just doesn't look like a brownish burned out wasteland in any season. I am using Adam Mills freeware packages (available at Avsim) for the US and Europe. They are just recolored default textures and does not look out of place anywhere in the world. At least I haven't found any oddities in New Zealand, Africa or elsewhere. But there are now also commercial packages that cover the whole world, like Aimé Leclercq "WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD".

Glad to hear that the release is near. This beauty seems to be the perfect plane for my planned flight around the world.
To the questions:1. Red winged racer: I researched almost a year over the H-1, never found a story about a redwinged H-1
The TIME magazine described Hughes aircraft as red-winged in an article about his land plane speed record in 1935.

You should try winmerge instead of word, a great tool to compare all kind of code line by line. It's free and has no problems with 7 mb xml files.

200 miles is probably for the short red wing version, and even then not under optimal conditions, maybe at sea level with full throttle.. The plane was later modified to brake the transcontinental U.S. speed record. They added a new set of larger wings to decrease the wing loading and provide space for additional fuel tanks. Hughes did fly the long (blue) wing H1B nonstop from Los Angeles to New York City, around 2500 miles in 7 hours, 28 minutes and 25 seconds, a new record at this time.

Edit: Any news when it will be released?

Hier:
http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?t=57005

Will there be a box version or just download only?

F4U-5NL Corsair
A perfect, flexible plane to just fly around in FS and have fun in any environment. It can operate from aircraft carriers and almost any
airfield, has high performance, great maximum ceiling, sufficient range especially with drop tanks, deicing equipment, radar, radio altimeter, you can do aerobatics and looks fantastic.

According to this threat from the German support forum a patch to make GA 9 (and German Landmarks) fully compatible with SP2/Acceleration is currently developed, but is still a few weaks away.
-

Michael
Things I Would Like To See In The Next Fs

I strongly disagree. It might be uninteresting for you how air particles behind your aircraft are simulated, but certainly not for the guy flying in your wake. Wake turbulences caused by airliners can stretch for many miles behind the plane and caused more than one crash.
Such a feature could make operations at busy airports much more interesting, making it necessary to keep the right safety distance, not to mention formation flying, aerial refueling or simply being towed in your glider.
As already mentioned maybe 95 % and more of all airplanes in FS can be stalled and don't have computers that prevent the pilot from getting to he ragged edge of the flight model. If you want to do some aerobatics or just land your plane with minimum ground run a correctly modeled stall behavior suddenly becomes very important.
I hope that Aces will focus exactly on such things as a better weather engine, flight model or damaging your flaps when you extend them at airspeeds beyond their limits. Making a state of the art flight not a sight seeing simulator.
I am a bit surprised to see such an statement from a company's representative that developed the excellent Hughes H1 and has a Catalina in it's pipeline. Surely the great number of classic piston engine aircraft add ons or Golden Wings and other vintage scenery shows that actually a lot of people care for old planes.
