Sabre10 8
Hello, when I fly under vectoring of Radar Contact (on approach) actual flight path goes quite away from the flight path/arrival in the navigation computer. As a result I can't ever get to the Approach checklist, I can't activate it and nor does it ever start on its own. I complete decent checklist, I arm then activate the Approach Phase but the Approach option in the right MCDU never gets available. Please note that I have to fly in SPD/HDG select modes on approach under RC4 control. So what exactly triggers Approach check list in A318/319? Thanks, Sabre10. Guest
Hi, we know that with the current version there are starting problems of the APPR CL during vector approach. The problems are identified and will be solved with the next revision. As a workaround currently clear all FPLAN waypoints you are passing by or are behind you or use DIR TO to FINAL and the CL immediately will start..... Sabre10 8
Thank you so much, Rolf! Your suggestion should work fine even in terms of realism, as I understand that's what pilots usually do under vectors to final as well. From my observations the current logic is tied up with passing of Deceleration point. I recall once Wilco's A320 had the same omission. Sabre10. Sabre10 8
Is there an extended rwy centeriline on nd in Airbus/AS AirbusX like in Boeings? Can I set it (in MCDU)? Thanks, Sabre10.
Guest
No .....sorry you only have the runway yaw bar if there is an ILS frequency available for this runway......(I do not know the Boeing...) Regards, Rolf
