hg58 0
I have obtained the crj 200 through steam. The plane loads without a problem, but some responses are very slow. If I move the throttle on the joystick, the one on screen only moves several seconds later. Same for fmc buttons. The pitch and roll axis work as expected. I have framerate above 50, using an I5 and a GTX 970, so I do not think it is lack of computer capacity. Stock planes work without a problem. Any suggestions can be the reason for this behaviour? Thanks!
Philipp Münzel CFI 13
Sounds like an IPC issue to me. Like a firewall or a virus scanner checking every single packet going between X-Plane and the local server. Also, the Log.txt of the sim does always help in support questions. hg58 0
Thanks for the suggestion, that is a direction I did not think about yet. As soon as I am at my game computer I will have a look and let you know.
hg58 0
It took me a while, but it looks like Asus GameFirst was causing the problem. This is a utility that indeed tweaks the network traffic, so thanks Philipp, you put on the right track ! After uninstalling GameFirst, everything is running smoothly. Philipp Münzel CFI 13
If I could get a penny for every time we find a "system tweak" or "utility tool" messing up otherwise perfectly good systems, I'd be flying my own jet by now.
