ATR72 Cpt. 0
Hi there Aerosoft. I have recently purchased the McPhat ATR72-500, and was blown away. It is a fantastic model, and it sounds and looks like the real deal! I have only one problem, and then I will be perfectly satisfied. There is a 1px wide tangent to both custom prop disks. Its a tad irritating... Could you please make a patch to fix this issue? Cheers . Below is a pic of what I'm talking about. It appears to be a mirrored texture error... I can't be sure. Guest
Hello ATR72 Cpt., thats a strange issue. I have checked it here on 2 Machines (Windows 7/8 and MAC, NVIDIA Cards). It looks ok. Here is the screenshot: May be it is a driver problem (Grafic Card). A good idea is to update the Graficcard driver. Do you run the newest ATR72 Version? It is V1.10. Do you use the actual X-Plane 10? It is 10.25. Greets Heinz
ATR72 Cpt. 0
Hello Heinz, thank you for your swift reply. Okay, so here is what I have. Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5670 512 MB I'm running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 I'm using X-Plane 10.25 64bit. I am not sure what version of the ATR I have though. However, I bought it just a week or so ago from the X-Plane.org store. Does that store have the updated version? Cheers.
Guest
Hello ATR72 Cpt., ok, the 5670 with only 512 Mb is low (for X-Plane 10). X-Plane uses heavily the Video Ram. May be, that an update of your Card driver (with an update of the OSX) is a good idea. I think, the X-Plane Org store has the newest version of the ATR72. But you can update it here too: 1) Go to : http://support.aerosoft.com/support.php?language=en 2) Login or when needed make a new account (this is NOT your shop account or your forum account) 3) Click on "Do you want to register another product?" link on the left." It has a little green arrow pointing to it. Then a new window opens and you select the product there and fill in the necessary data. If the product is NOT in the list it means we do not currently have a update for it. Very Important Note: Please enter these details exactly the same as you did the in product installer as it is case and spelling sensitive, If you don't it will fail. The newest Version of the ATR 72 is the V1.10. You can check it here: X-Plane 10 Main folder\Aircraft\Heavy Metal\ATR 72-500\_ATR 72-500_installation There shall be a file "installvariables.properties". Open it with an editor (doubleclick). There is an entry "PRODUCT_VERSION_NUMBER=1.1.0.0" . This is the newest Version 1.10. Greets Heinz
ATR72 Cpt. 0
Thanks Heinz! Okay, so I have version 1.10 of the ATR. It must be a graphic anomaly. How much would it cost to update the OS X and the Card driver?
Guest
Hello ATR72 Cpt., the Apple OSX updates are free of cost (10.7 to 10.8 to 10.9 at the time). The carddrivers in Apple computers you only can update with a regulary OSX update, not separately. But you can try to deinstall the ATR 72 and reinstall it. Sometimes this solved the problem. To deinstall the ATR goto X-Plane 10 Main folder\Aircraft\Heavy Metal\ATR 72-500\_ATR 72-500_installation and run the app "Change ATR 72-500 Installation.app". ATR72 Cpt. 0
Will try what you suggested soon! Cheers Heinz! Hey, I found a bug with the transponder! It isn't working the way it should! I want to do online flying with VATSIM, but I need a properly functional transponder to use it!
ATR72 Cpt. 0
Never mind! Saw the manual! It's very odd how it's been set up though...
