Lukla Accident: Aircraft hit wall

It can happen indeed. Luckily no one got hurt.

Oct 12th 2010:

A Sita Air Dornier 228, registration 9N-AHB performing a scheduled passenger flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (Nepal) with 11 passengers and 3 crew, overran runway 06 (length 527 meters/1730 feet, elevation 2774 meters/9100 feet) while landing in Lukla and contacted the wall at the end of the runway. No injuries occurred, the airplane sustained substantial damage to its nose.

The brakes of the aircraft reportedly failed during the landing roll.
