Using Flightplan Visualizer when buying airports and aircraft

I have just uploaded a new video where I show how I use Flightplan Visualizer myself before buying new airports and aircraft, and how I use it to find inspiration of flights to fly (based on AI flights). Perhaps it can offer some inspiration to you also?

In the video above I show how to use the "Search Legs" feature to find flights, and how you can transfer the data to SimBrief, but I forgot to mention there is a way for those of you using other tools to extract info regrading a flight, in case you use other software e.g. PFPX. There is not a specific export for these tools, but the data can be extracted into a text file.

First you start by using the "Search Legs" feature as outlined in the video. Here (marked in red) I have selected the 3 CRJ's for which the AI flightplans contains data. Also I have selected that both departure- and destination- airport must be airports I have marked as favorites, and last I have marked that either airport must be one I have ranked as a "3rd party quality" airport (which I do for the 3rd party airports I have bought). This way I am sure the flight that are found during the search will either begin- or end at one of my 3rd party airports (actually both could be 3rd party, but in this search I did not demand it):

Once I have performed the search I open the "Generic Randomizer" form. Here I simply press the "Pick random flight" button at the bottom, and it will automatically pick one of the searched flights and show it in a "Leg info" form. If I am unhappy with the flight, I simply hit ESC to return to the "Generic Randomizer" form, and hit the "Pick random flight" until I find a flight I want to fly. The lower half of the "Leg info" form shows all flights (legs) in the AI schedule for this particular aircraft, and if you click another flight, the info for that flight will be displayed in the top half (this is another way to pick the flight you want to fly):

Once I have found the flight I want to fly I can hit the "Copy to clipboard" button in the lower/left corner of the form, to copy the info on the screen (and some more) to the clipboard. You can then paste this text info a text editor, from where you can then copy various elements you need and paste them into your flight-planning software, self-made flight briefing packages are what else you might need:

In the video i show a flight-sheet that  I am using to note ATIS and commands from ATC along with some key info I note regarding my flights:

FlightSheet.thumb.jpg.aca09c0a767bd3cd8845f29bc8816421.jpg

I have made this available for those who might like it. The download contains a small readme explaining how I fill the form, the the form is available in two versions, both intended to be printet on A4 paper. One will have a single form, and the other will contain 2 forms. I normally print the latter in duplex so that I will have 4 forms for each sheet of paper. Anyway it can be downloaded using this link: FlightSheet.zip
