SimPilot767 157
please help! i wanted to remove fs2004 and all its components. therefore, i uninstalled all addons (this worked fine) and last, i tried to uninstall fs2004. but neither the uninstal.exe, nor the "software add and remove function" of windows xp could manage to delete fs2004... is there any other way to delete fs2004 manually and completely ? Thanks for helping, Timo
Rafal Haczek 1612
Don't forget to remove your FS9.cfg manually. In case you don't know, you'll find it in Documents and SettingsUserApplication DataMicrosoftFS9 You may also need to remove the 9.1 patch manually and possible BACKUP files. You may try removing FS9 with the uninstall file found on CD1 (I guess). Hope that helps. Best regards, Rafal
SimPilot767 157
Thanks a lot, it worked fine by uninstalling with the CD!
ChrisB 11
Yes, odd thing, isn't it? There's an installer (I think it's one of the Warwick Carter models) that places its own uninstall file in the FS9 root directory, thus overwriting the FS9 uninstall. Using the uninstall from the disc obviously works... In the past I did it by deleting the FS9 directory and using a pro registry cleaner to remove the registry entries.
