  1. Very nice. How far away is the motor glider version from being released?

    Cheers, :)

BTW Peter Lurkens, the author of Cumulus has found a way to put ridge lift into FSX using .slo files created in CCS2004. These files for some areas of the world can be downloaded at AVSIM. The program is called CumulusX and is presently in the alpha stage

  2. There is no true ridge lift in FSX at the moment because FSX does not model ambient vertical air motion. Also for this reason CCS2004 can not be updated to work in FSX. FS9 however does model vertical air motion. Microsoft needs to put this feature back into FSX.

    Cheers,

  3. Although the Caproni is relatively unknown I think it would be very popular in the virtual world. There is a need for a high performance motor glider ( one that is high performance as a power plane as well as a glider). For instance, soaring the Andes involves flying parts of the range where lift is questionable and and safe landing fields can be over a hundred miles away. The Caproni is one of the few motor gliders that can deal with these conditions. The fact that it is a jet would make it popular I am sure.

The Stemme s-10 would also work but there is the problem of animating the prop assembly.

  4. I have never had to go thru such a hassle to install software that I have bought!! I have been trying for 3 days to reinstall my Piper Cub with no success! It this is typical, I will never buy another Aerosoft product!!

I click on setup, and the screen comes up for me to enter where I bought the product, then I get the screen to enter the email, password, and registration code. All that is fine! (and yes, I did double check to make sure where I bought it, email, & password).

Then I get the little animated screen that shows it connecting - this is the problem area! It will go on for about 5 minutes, then a little message pops up that the connection has been closed! I then have to ctrl-alt-del just to get out of the install shield window and "end process" to get rid of the little animation, and sometimes that will not work and I have to reboot!

This is all ridiculous that a customer has to go through this for a product that they paid for and bought in good faith!! Also, I bought 2 other products from you last week and have not even tried to install those!! Sorry to be so negative, but I am really frustrated and disgusted with this whole procedure!!

I have turned off firewall, virus, everything else that is running to no avail. How would you folks suggest I get to use the product that I bought from you?? Thanks! Don Hamilton

I have now tried to install Mt. Everest & Freight Dogs - same problems! These 2 were purchased direct from Aerosoft, my Piper Super Cub was purchased from Sim Market.
