The subject of night textures has been settled its not going to happen so please lets have no more talk on it.
OK, sorry Shaun, it was only an idea. I will cease and desist...

All I can say is WOW!!!!
I love the US Cities projects, having got three already!!!
OK, I admit it is not night scenery capable, but it is gorgeous. Of course I want night scenery, but I believe you when you say it more than triples the costs.
I suppose if the community were to take night photos of the cities in question would that help? Volunteer help?
Maybe each volunteer could do 10 or more buildings? And then it isn't that hard to put the textures onto the 3d models.......
What do you say? Might end some complaints.
EDIT what I mean is that volunteers could also do the 3d night models and send their work to the devs. Maybe those volunteers who did a certain amount of buildings could receive a discount voucher?
But I love your work!!! +100 for this new LA scenery!!!!

Hello;
Have you tried the shipyard tool, placing a ship anywhere, and see what that does, also when you load the Seahawk, you can select a flight to one of the ships. The LPH is like a small aircraft carrier,in the Free Flight section, when you look for save flights, there should be all the Seahawk flights.
Go to your Flight Simulator folder, where the saved flights are stored, and see if all the Seahawk/Jayhawk files are in there. And another thing I've learned since having Windows 7,I always install everything as administrator, and run Fsx in the administrator mode, this gets rid of alot of problems.Do you have Fsx installed in the defauklt location,I also had a problem with this, had to install Fsx in a folder by itself.
Mark
Thanks Mark, yes UAC is off and I have installed FSX in a non Program Files (Win7) location.
I'll try your idea if I can't find it like Shaun suggests.

Hello Daniel,
You have to go out and find it.
OK. So it is not visible from the coast then. I flew for about 10 minutes on runway heading out to sea.....

Click on help at the very bottom of each forum page. There lays all the information you so desire. Easy huh?

How do you ignore members? This particular nasty is just asking to go on my ignore list. He can't help himself.
EDIT: Just figured it out. Glad I did.
Help!

And again, what about my `rights` as a `paying customer` not to be exposed to the repetitive..?
I have reminded Mathijs and I remind everyone else that MOST support MOST of the time is provided not by staff members but by those self-same `paying customers`.
Where are their `rights`not to have to answer the same dross and drivel time and again?
Where are their `rights` to see the benefits of their previous replies absorbed, learned, applied - and thenmost importantly handed back down to others by those whe were the previous recipients of it?
In other words, how come F4PhantomRAAF can't practice what he/she/it preaches? (as usual no Customer Profile so we have no idea of age, gender or effort required to tie shoe laces, so `by their posts ye shall know them` and what `it` whines about is self-absorbed, pathetically hypocritical and frankly, condescending in the extreme to the time & effort that those unpaid supporters put in just to see the same dumb questions).
Mathijs might be happy to see them, but the simple and plain (and increasingly worrying) fact is that if you went back five or even ten years, it would be the same paying customers providing the answers then as now, with a few exceptions.
Where is the new blood? The freshly-learned with a sense of commitment to sharing the knowledge rather than merely demanding it for their own person use, on their own personal terms?
The FACT is that if the dumb questions don't get answered any differently by paid staffers than by the volunteers - you didn't even check out Shauns reply in the link I posted, did you? The fact is that the information repository that is this forum would be a better place for the absence of repetition, the proper use of the search function - and the addition of a few more `helpers` rather than `scroungers`.
And let me remind you Ms Raaf or whatever you are, it is for ME to decide who gets ignored, not you to bully me (good luck with that).
If you wish to ignore my posts, set your own bloody preferences. Then miss out on the technical help. Then start providing prompt and proper answers to those dumb requests. And they'd better be right...
You really don't get you ARE the problem, do you?
You must have a lot of problems with Aerosoft products Simon as I usually only come to the forums when I have an issue with a product I bought.
I have been blessed and have had great experiences with the Aerosoft products.
Since I am not having issues (anymore), I'll leave you to sort out your issues with Aerosoft.

Hello Daniel,
Wouldn't worry to much about it honestly as thats quite polite compared to some of the replies I've seen, some forums even make a point of telling people if you dont get a reply from Admins etc its because the information is already available, so basically saves them printing the same thing time and time again and encourages people to search the forum.
Hands up those who used Google to find a problem and resolve it without even needing to write a support request out
Maybe we can have a troubleshooting guide sticky in the forum for each product. Then we can instantly go to that 'sticky' for product information. Just an idea, but it could solve a lot of multiple postings. And save you guys a lot of hassle.
The most common problems could be dealt with first. EDIT I mean at the top of the sticky.

No Snave... in all my manuals it states that when you buy our products you buy the right to 'waste' our time and to ask 'stupid' things. I am not at all a big fan of forums that want people to research a lot before they can ask. I pay our support staff to handle customers and they will, even if the question has been asked over and over. And they will do so politely.
Thanks Mathjis. You won't hear me 'complain' about Aerosoft. Not because your service is great but because I don't see the point in bad mouthing others. But yes your service is great, and that is why I love Cathay Pacific. For exactly the same reason. Great service. Great product!

When I created this topic I wasn't asking for more 'bullies' to join in.
It was a simple question but obviously too complex for some who really can't help themselves.
And for this poor man who thinks I have to solve the problems of known issues with the products I buy, yes I pay for, by having to search it for myself, has he got any clue?
I believe in being constructive with my time.
Thanks to the great team at Aerosoft I love their products and can rely on their support.
Like I said in other topic, if you haven't got anything good to say, don't say it.
Thanks to all those who positively contribute here. Mathjis, Tom, Shaun and Bernd.........
Daniel
PS. And for the person who can't help himself (who has posted in this topic) please just keep away from me (ie Ignore my posts). I do not want to have anything to do with people like you. If you are holding a grudge for some reason then keep it to yourself. Bullying is not the answer to your perceived wrongs. That is all. Clear enough for you?

Please try the following as its a known bug when adding scenery.
Fix found on Google.
In settings choose Scenery Library, click Add Area, then locate your folder and select it.
The full path will show as: Directory (left of the OK button).
Click OK, in Vista this returned, in Windows 7 it clears the Directory window and shows the Scenery and/or Texture folder names.
Now right click somewhere in that large white area below the folder names and the area is added. Only the right click is new, but vital.
I can get the ships to load but in the drop off mission I am not seeing the Cutter.
Any help?

Cool, the motor city! Would love to see some lower midwest cities like Kansas City and St Louis.
That would be good. Kansas City and St Louis, perfect. Isn't Toronto next?

Thanks Otto!!
No, but I go to Hong Kong a lot! I love Cathay Pacific. I know the pilots.
Chinese girls are very nice too.
I let google translate for me. I know Japanese though.
Cheers

Why are spammers now posting about Golf? The latest Chinese spam I have just reported is talking about golf. I cannot see the point to the post, how can anyone make money from that?

This scenery is literally jaw dropping!!!! It is AMAZING!! And I don't give this much credit, EVER!!!
I just bought it. The scenery is better than the screenshots!!!!! Now that is saying something!!!
I also got the San Francisco US Cities X. I'll have to revisit that one, but wasn't as impressed.
Are all the US Cities sceneries day textures only?
Keep up the great work, looking forward to Toronto!!!!!
Would love to see a World Cities X Sydney! Anyone ever been to Sydney at sunset and seen the lights on the buildings during landing, it is truly amazing! (Yes I think the lights in Sydney at night time MUST be included! MUST!! ;-) )
I was going to post a screenshot of Chicago, but seems like it got lost in the Matrix somewhere....where is Neo??? I'll have to repost shortly.

Hello Daniel,
Been mentioned many time before, you need to cycle through the cockpit views at least once then everything will be fine.
Thanks Shaun!
I'll try that!

I agree Shaun. I agree. I first search for an answer then I will post if I need to.
Thanks for your encouragement. I love Aerosoft products!! Keep up the great work.

When I fly the newly installed Seahawk I bought, the PFD is frozen. Altitude and Airspeed at 0. Compass doesn't move. The thing flies but I am reading the manual now.
Does anyone know of this problem?

Otto's a well respected senior member of the forums, and very wise man too. As for who he's directing his comment to, most likely the OP.
Maybe a "Lost in Translation" error? I don't know why he mentions Las Vegas as already being done? I don't get it. Megascenery made MegaCity Las Vegas. And US Cities also did Las Vegas.
I just don't get it.

At the same time would be nearly impossible I think, since as far as I know it's not even in development yet. And development takes quite some time. But of course you can always come up with ideas in the "What if you like to propose a project" tread.
Thanks Patrick. I believe the group that makes the US Cities doesn't make the 'Mega Airports'.
Both are in the pipeline, I am just being a little curious.
Thanks.

Thanks Bernd for the heads up.
You know my Grandmother used to say "If you haven't got anything good to say then don't say it at all". Maybe some people just don't like being positive.
Daniel

Or just maybe these 'annoyed' posters just have nothing else better to do with their time.
And when people post negative responses that do nothing for anyone else, maybe they have some negative feelings they want others to feel?
Anyhow thanks Bernd.

Matthias I love how you pay attention to FS2004. I am using both. It is the reason why I am using both, because you make it for both!
