Soooo......any news?
And if my grandma had wheels she would've been a bike

Soooo......any news?
If after four years the plane still cannot capture a localizer or do a simple hold, I don't think the problem is with the beta testers...
-
Soooo......any news?
The feedback session probably went something like this: CRJ Driver: We should be able to use FMS to program a hold at a waypoint... Aerosoft: Best we can do is to draw a bunch of squiggles which autopilot will then refuse to follow.

Soooo......any news?
So, to summarize the preview of CRJ V2 from A330Driver livestream: - VNAV is buggy - STARs are messed up - Holds do not work - LOC capture does not work On a positive note, the passenger cabin graphics are updated! I guess we need to wait another couple of years for fixes.

Soooo......any news?
We don't have to imagine, we've seen the Aerosoft's A330 appear.
-
CRJ Update 2025?
Hoping to start an annual tradition: on the first day of each New Year ask when the update for CRJ will be released.
-
Soooo......any news?
If anything, in view of A330 debacle, Hans Hartmann's silence regarding the CRJ update seems like a smart strategy.
-
Soooo......any news?
In that case, I will buy TWO copies of the updated CRJ and donate extra one to another flightsim enthusiast in your name. Speaking of which, as a loyal PMDG customer now, shouldn't you post with your real name?
-
Soooo......any news?
Just FYI, if you haven't been watching Rafi (Aerosoft Community Manager) flying CRJ (ABANDONED!!) on his Twitch stream for the last several hours... He said that CRJ (ABANDONED!!) update was/is planned before the MSFS2024 release date, but it is Hans Hartmann's project, so he does not know exactly when the CRJ (ABANDONED!!) update will actually release. Back to your regularly scheduled ABANDONED!1! posting.

Soooo......any news?
That's because there are not nearly enough posts about how Aerosoft has abandoned the CRJ. I am sure if we double, maybe triple this amount, surely then developers will change their minds. Failing that, only round the clock vigil outside Aerosoft HQ will do.

Soooo......any news?
Wow, I had no idea software development can be so incredibly complex. More than one person working on a project?!? People with different responsibilities?!? Crazy stuff!!! Thank you for sharing your valuable expertise. You should definetely contact Aerosoft and tell them about this novel "Product manager" concept you've just described.
-
Soooo......any news?
But why should they spend more time on an activity that adds relatively lesser value? Because it sounds like in order to maximize product's value, one needs to hype the product as much as possible, while doing the minimum amount of actual development... Do you want Aerosoft to cut half of the planned features from the upcoming update and just start posting weekly "work-in-progress" screenshots instead?

Soooo......any news?
There is also an old Yiddish saying that translates to: "Don't show a half-finished job to a fool".
-
Soooo......any news?
The truth is that software developers should develop software and not spend 50% of their time "managing expectations".
-
Soooo......any news?
But we have not heard any news from Microsoft on MSFS2024 for MONTHS!! At this point, MSFS2024 is nothing but abandonware!
