  4. From A330 FCOM, "This symbol can either be a magenta circle or a green filled circle, depending on the installed EIS standard."
  5. I had a look at the RNAV 07 into YSSY (Sydney). The V DEV indications were correct at intercept but the FMA's were not. Selected FPA required to fly the VDEV, FINAL APP did not capture until passing the final approach fix (SSYWF) at around 1330', at which point it flew the VDEV. This is not how it works in the real world. I flew the EDDL 23L RNAV and it performed correctly from 300' at METMA.
  6. Had a similar issue. Check that your selected ALT is in a managed mode. FMA check prior to Takeoff you should see ALT in blue, if not, push the Altitude sector knob. Cheers, Matt
  7. Thanks Herman, found the manuals and mouse wheel did the trick, Cheers
  8. Hi, From somebody new to the sim world, but not Airbus, how do I turn the knobs on the ACP. Also where do I find the Aerosoft manuals. A330 P3Dv5 Cheers, Matt
  9. Sorry, you are not correct. Depending on Built #, 300 series 76T, 200 series 109T.
  10. G'day Dave,

Wondering if you have any info on when the A330 will be P3D V5 compatible.

I downloaded V5 thinking the 330 would be compatible, but obviously not. (new to PC sim world)

I'm a real world A330 pilot, and was hoping to keep somewhat current during this lock down/stand down.

    Cheers,

    Matt

  11. Bought it a day before it went on sale. Happy to do an ETOPS setup for you, I'm with QANTAS.
  12. Hi, I haven't used the A330 sim yet, as I'm waiting for the P3DV5 update, so not sure of it's logic. I am a real world A330 pilot though. There is no 'Auto' step climb. Step climbs are a planning tool in the flightplan only (MCDU), approaching a planned step climb you request a clearance, then select the new ALT in the MCP window, and push the ALT knob (not the ALT hold button) if in managed modes (NAV), or pull if in selected mode (HDG). The Cruise alt in the MCDU should now change to your new MCP cruise alt and the jet should climb. Also at TOD, unlike Boeings, the aircraft will not descend of its own accord, you must select a new altitude, then either push the ALT knob for a managed descent, or pull for open descent. I hope this helps, Cheers, Matt
