Flattering, but I have to defend my friends at Aerosoft here.

The forums were very much shaped in the way I thought was best, or in other words, how a forum I would enjoy as a customer/interested person should be. With my departure, it is logical that Aerosoft might want to change that. And believe me, those are not things you do without serious thinking and discussion. It simply takes a while. Just give them that.

    Godspeed,

@Mathijs Kok But you gotta understand that this feels very weird to the community. You and a lead developer leaving just weeks before the finish line of this project (at least from what you tell us) makes us think that things in fact arent going as good as you tell us. And everyone knows that this plane shouldve long been ready. There are obviously problems. You even stopped updating us on anything a couple of weeks ago. We had to keep asking you what you guys are working on and how things are going. There are no signs of progess for weeks. We are all just afraid of this airplane becoming another abandoned project 2 months after release. Maybe you should tell us honestly what the deal is.

I work as a PM also but in construction.

In general, there is nothing strange at all about PM's leaving at this stage when the back is well and truly broken out of the project. In fact, its when PM's look to leave because all the important stuff is complete and the roadmap is very clear.

My last project we had 300 Electricians on site at the top of the S curve, when we came down to 50 i was moved to a new project that was moving up the S curve.

Apologies for the off topic stuff but thats just how it works.

  3. Best of Luck in your new venture Mathijs.

Back on topic -  Why is everyone so infatuated with wing flex? If its not there in the initial launch whats the big deal? There is only one place you are looking when you are rotating off the runway and its out the front window!

The Fenix and Flybywire aren’t available to Xbox, which is a good percentage of the market.

I for one would love the A320. Fenix is a step too far for me and as you said, X box!

I am disappointed with the A330 Neo as id love the A330F but hey, the market is not aimed at me!

Could anybody make an old Aer Lingus livery? Would love to see it!

For me this is the best!

Not sure why so many down votes on Livery request. Very childish.

had to spend some time reading back over posts as i was not online since wednesday. Looked like i had missed something but it seems not!

    Good question. Let me explain.

This A330ceo is our base model. All code made is intended to be used by all Airbus projects that will follow.  So after the A330ceo is released, the same team will continue working on the project. Not only to make the changes for the next aircraft but also to add features to the base code, which will be usable on all models. With the investment spread over more products, the cost comes down.

Now exactly what we will do depends on many things. Of course, we will need to extend and maintain the base code. There are things that simply will not make it in the initial release. But we have plans to extend the EFB, and something like RAAS is certainly possible. We need to see how many aircraft that we model actually have RAAS, though. I do not do polls or things like that, but we will definitely listen to suggestions! That's what this forum section is for!

Next week we'll announce the next project; for now I leave you with this sunset A330ceo.

Of course it depends on your hardware, but we do not anticipate issues in that regard.  Keep in mind that we have to do some very serious planning and optimizing to make it suitable for Xbox and MSFS Cloud.

What GPU does your test machine have out of interest?

The quoted question was, "So could we say between 1 and 4 let's say" referring to months and Mathijs replied, "Without any guarantee, let's."  The post is about halfway down the page for April 11 (Click on the picture and it'll take you to that page, not page 1):

Someone asked this 3 or so weeks ago and i said the exact thing. Only i was accused of making up story's and downvoted by Aerosoft team.

    But oh look, whats this?

Well, I hope the passengers on the Airbus A330 are ready for a bumpy ride because that plane has been known to make even the most fearless of travelers say "Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh-330!"

Why did the Airbus A330 refuse to go on a diet?

    Because it was already A-heavy!

My worst flying experience was on an A330! Aer Lingus 300 series from Frankfurt to Dublin. I thought we'd fall out of the sky!

Had a few dodgy Aeroflot A330 experiences too but that was just unruly passengers flying to Sakhalin.

It’s so hard to decide where my money might go, here for the A330 or to PMDG for the 777. We always have the magic word, though: both.

I want to fly KLM and Delta long haul, but they both have complications:

    KLM

    -flies the 777

-flies the A330 but not this engine type, and might plan to retire them soon in favor of Boeing

    Delta

    -Retired the 777

-Flies the A330 but not this engine type

I cant imagine you will see the 777 any time soon.

Hope is the last that deserts a Man they say ;). Maybe when they announce a 360 or something they will loosen upp :).

As much as I enjoy the FBW stuff I will always go with AS offerings if they exist.

    Yep, me too.

I spent a long time flying FBW A320 and then the 737 from PDMG came and reminded me that Payware is always better.

    Exact same with AS.

An A350 from AS would be absolutely incredible

    or A321 Neo!

They have mentioned a few times they cant get the required information for the A350 tho.

A330 will be fantastic tho. A freighter DLC for A330 would also be nice :D  Bu baby steps and we wait for the A330 first!

I searched for A320 but couldn't find any post with images of a model, or any confirmation of the A320 being the next aircraft.

Top of page 72 is where i replied and Mathijs also replied under it but i cant find the posts relating to A320 or the image so i assume they were deleted to stop discussion.
