  1. Thanks a lot! Just in case you later open a thread on the Twin Otter in a real hobby flightsimmer forum to exchange thoughts and optimizations, please let me know. I would be very happy to follow that.
  2. If it is required in the procedures, you will also be able to read current changes. I would ask the pilot to bring the aircraft into a low-consumption and therefore low-power state according to the checklist, then carry out the individual steps of the checklist and take a photo of the ammeter of each step. This is objective, quickly done and you would then also have the values by which the current strength must change. i think this can be implemented quickly in the programming, max 1h. By the way, in section 9-1 De-Icing System under 9-1.4.6 After Start Engines there is another checklist item, which is also checked by the amperemeter. PROP DEICE - observe loadmeter fluctuation indicating propeller de-icing cycling With attention to detail and flight simulation, one would have to look at the complete de-icing system area in normal operating procedures and check the implementations.
  3. If the display instruments are individually assigned to the aircraft variants, one could seriously consider customization. In contrast to the detail of the "little bit weird engine instruments", this misrepresentation complicates the routine scan of the main instruments during flight.
  4. Depending on the preselection of the de-icing components, the lamps should light up in the corresponding cycles, indicating correct de-icing operation.   6. According to the original manual, the DHC-6 Series 300 floatplanes (I think amphibian same) are equipped with different airspeed indicators than the landplanes. The Maximum Operating Speed is lower. (I did not check the limits information panels riveted to the ceiling) Maximum operating speed (red radial line) 160 Normal Operating Range (green arc) 74 to 160 (The other markings are ok) As you can see from the photo, is there a mistake here, or is this a compromise that was made?
  7. Oops, that's surprising. I just wanted to include the "Intake Deflectors Test" of the After Start Procedure from the original manual in the VoiceAttack preparation and was desperately looking for the Doll's Eyes indicator for the position display. Until I saw in the included Mr. Kok manual: "Note that this is currently not modelled in this product.". This is really a pity, as I assumed that the Intake Deflectors are quite important parts of the Twotter. If there is a possibility in the future, I would be very happy. I hope for "currently"... 🙂

  9. We don't want to forget the sound problem elsewhere, but at this point an encouraging praise. I find the hydraulic system very well implemented. Representation of the emergency hand pump, the sound of the pump, the display of the circuit monitoring and this beautiful slight pressure drop on the pressure gauge after the pump turns off, very nice. This quality should be the goal in all aspects.
  10. In the sound context: With the PMDG 737 for the P3D, the standard sound, for my ears!!!!, was so unbearable that I bought an additional addon, which made the sound bearable. Resulting from this experience, the soundtheme is individually very sensitive, I backed up the sound folder of the Twotter before the update. One did not know what comes. Just in the juxtaposition of old new sound folder it seems, that it is enough to exchange the new sound folder against the old.

  13. You could assume that, but the sound/conversation ends abruptly with the soundtrack of the engine. In my opinion, this is simply an unclean sound recording.
  14. Start an engine, shut it down and increase the volume as you go. You can hear a conversation in the background, as if someone had called in during the recording. At this point, the sound is amateurish. I use a Razer Kraken Ultimate.

When the starter is operated in battery mode to start an engine, the entire power system seems to be loaded in such a way that the lamps become dimmer and only light up again with the usual brightness when the switch is returned to the neutral position. This can only be caused by a voltage drop in the network due to the load during the starting process. If this is the case, shouldn't the volt display also react during this period? I think the volt display does not reflect the voltage dip.

  21. In my manual of the DHC-6 300 the display of the voltmeter differs according to the starting procedure. With battery the display should be 24V, with external power the confirmation of a display of 28V is required before engine start. The volt display in the cockpit is always 24V and does not change when external power is applied. I am not clear what is wrong, the implementation in the twotter or the manual?
