  1. Hi, Don't know if I am the only one who has had a problem installing the new version of CRJ Pro. On attempting to update, after duly disabling my AV protection, the update process stalled with an error from the AV (Norton) indicating a problem with an attempt to modify a (.tmp) protected file in \Windows\Fonts. No matter what I tried to exclude in my AV, the problem persisted. I decided to uninstall V2200 and complete the install of V2400 from scratch but the same problem occurred. To rule out an issue with my system, I reinstalled V2200 without a problem. Baffled, I decided to boot into Safe Mode and try the installation that way and it succeeded (I'm not sure if it was affected by the still present exclusions in my AV, but I did not, in Safe Mode, disable Auto-protect). I'm not sure if this was a problem with my system, running Win 10 Pro 20H2 version 19042.867, Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0, or a quirk of the installer but thought it might be useful to relate my story if the problem is faced by others. (Just in case, I want to be clear that V2200 was up to date via AS Updater, so V2202) Ron H
  2. Thanks Hans! Interesting because the following list of frequencies is found for EGLC: THAMES RADAR Approach:132.70CITY ATIS:136.35CITY GROUND Ground Control:121.82HEATHROW DIRECTOR Radar:119.72HEATHROW Radar:125.62THAMES Radar:132.70CITY Tower:118.07CITY Tower:129.45 Ron Harris
  3. Hello Hans, At the suggestion of Thomas at Pointsoft, I disabled the tuning of Com radio by the "Co-pilot" turning control over to the pilot. This solved the com problem and I can now obtain and hear Clearance Delivery. It did, however turn up what appears to be another problem. The Com radio will not tune to 118.07 but goes straight from 118.065 to 118.075. This occurs for all Com frequencies regardless of digit sequences whenever changing through xxx.x65 in effort to reach xxx.x70. Is this deliberate or, if not, remediable? Thanks for your help, Ron Harris
  4. And now the Majestic DASH8 Q400. Is it not possible, Hans, that there is something happening in the CRJ for P3Dv5? In P3Dv4.5 CRJ and PRO-ATC work together just fine. Ron Harris
  5. Well, I respect your expertise as the developer, but the folks at PRO-ATC seem to think that the problem must lie with the CRJ. I must confess I have no clue. It is the only aircraft I have added to P3Dv5 HF2 which doesn't respond, the recent addition of PMDG's 737 NGXu included. Ron Harris
  6. I’m still unclear why this is unique to the CRJ and not the Airbus Pro RonH
  7. Thanks Hans, but would that not mean that the Airbus would also have the same problem? RonH
  8. Hi, Using P3Dv5 HF2 in Win 10 Pro Version 1909 Build 18363.900, at default airport EGLC for the flight with no ATC response using Aerosoft CRJ-900 Pro, most recent version. When activating the flight EGLC to EGPH the usual PRO-ATC menu appears and, for the sake of troubleshooting I have it in static display. The message indicates that ATIS is tuned in and Clearance needs to be tuned in. When this is done, and clearance is requested, the request is made audibly. However, there is no response from ATC. Bringing up the menu again and requesting Flight Information, reveals that PRO-ATC has not registered the switch to delivery frequency and still "thinks" that ATIS is tuned. It doesn't matter how the radio is tuned, auto or manual, or from where, the tuning is not registered. To rule out the airport, I loaded PMDG QOTSII 747-8, into the spot at EGLC (!). No problems with ATC. To rule out CRJ-900, I loaded Aerosoft Airbus 319 Pro at EGLC and also discovered no problem with ATC. My assessment, then is that there is an issue in the CRJ that I cannot resolve. I have posted the issue on the Pointsoft PRO-ATC website with attched log files of the failed CRJ (029) and successful Airbus (033), in case this gives some clue to the problem. The log files are, I imagine, of no use to support on this forum. Thanks, RonH
  9. Thank you JR. I found the folder too, in a round about way. Once found I was able to copy the recent cycle data. RonH
  10. Thanks Hans, but I have no idea where to copy it to! I have never had any problems with the locations, folder permissions are all set for my access and the location is, as I'm sure you know, the default Aerosoft choice. RonH
  11. Dense, I must be, for using FMS data manager loads current data into P3Dv4 but does not do so for P3Dv5. I would like to know where the location for the FMS data is. I have, for example it loading into Program Files (x86) >Aerosoft > Aerosoft CRJ Professional > Data > NavData. The info in this sub folder cycle_info.txt shows the correct and expected cycle. This does not, however, show in the loaded aircraft. Help appreciated RonH
  12. Agreed. Adding the IP to the exclusions is the easiest fix. Thanks Hans Ron I'm also flagging this at MB
  13. Thanks for moving the topic it was not clear to me that this was a support issue rather than merely a discursive one. Further to the topic. I found that OrbX TE GB and ASP3D Beta6 do not go together well on my system flying A320. Disabling TE GB and using ENG/SCO resulted in acceptable flight. Curious since my system runs two GTX 2080Ti cards. The one that is used shows memory usage of around 5.1GB out available 9 or so GB. So, problem is not, I think, the A320. It appears to be an interaction of ASP3D, OrbX and P3D memory usage but I'm not savvy enough to know which of them contributes most to the issue. RonH
  14. I was simply running the Updater but the running was blocked in progress. When I allowed access to the blocked IP address, the Updater ran. Neither it, nor any products required updating. So it was blocking the website as far as I can tell. I just removed the Exclusion from MB and the problem is still showing. Forgive the info. below if it is of no value, but if it helps determine what is going on, then great. RonH ASUpdater version info: An error occured! 15. I will gladly use the correct forum. The A/C in question is A320pro. Which is the correct forum? RonH
  16. This morning Malwarebytes Premium v4.1 decided to block the update website flagging it as Trojan -Website Data- Category: Trojan Domain: update.aerosoft.com.dedi2593.your-server.de IP Address: 78.47.8.81 Easily remedied by adding website to exclusion but thought people might like to know RonH
  17. Flight from Edinburgh to Heathrow, it seems that ASCA activation (v7471) caused massive freezing. Opening task manager indicated that P3D was "not responding" but I noticed that the running memory had plunged and was rebuilding. Waiting it out saw a resumption of the flight as soon as sufficient memory reloaded. This happened about half a dozen times in the flight. I'm not sure what the cause is, but I will repeat the flight without ProATC and AS3PD to rule out P3D and A320, then reintroduce the add-ons one at a time to see which might be causing the issue. Has anyone else experienced this? RonH
  18. Yes, I know the switches are there and activated them. HDR is also on.
  19. In my recent flight A330 v1.0.2.0 panel lighting in P3D v5 HF1 does not have sufficient intensity to make out the control switches on the glare shield. The views also darken to the point where it is very difficult to see them clearly enough. Is this a general issue or is it a problem unique to my set up? RonH
  20. Hi Hans, just to add that as soon as I try to access charts in the CRJ 700 P3Dv4.5 crashes to desktop with the same Event viewer details as posted above by flycln. This crash does not happen with PMDG 747-8 or with QW 787. Ron
  21. CTD on flight from CYFC to CYUL. Crash occurred mid-flight prompted by selection of approach chart. P3D v4.5 hotfix 2, paled out, hung and then quit. Navigraph charts used. 22. I can't quite believe what made it happen but the button in Options that refers to EFB charts disengaged without my knowledge. I had previously successfully authorized, saved Options settings and had no problems. This reminds me of my days as an RAF electronics instructor when setting up problems for personnel to troubleshoot. We would sometimes remove power to the bench to make sure that people looked for the most basic items first. Well Nemesis struck back and I was smote! After fixing this basic option, I'm pleased but red-faced to report that all is now working. Thanks for your nudge!
  23. OK thanks. Now, since the navdata have successfully updated, the link to Navigraph charts, although active, is not active within CRJ. Why might that be?
  24. I decided to do a "manual install" from Navigraph rather than the desktop manager and track down the location of the introduced files. The CRJ is actually loaded in C:\Program Files (x86) as are my Airbus Pro. The NavData for Airbus are located in User\Documents\Aerosoft\General\A3XX Navigraph. However, the manual install put the Navigraph data in C:\Program Files (x86)\Aerosoft\Aerosoft CRJ Professional\Data\NavData. Now I will point to that location for future desktop updates and see what happens. Thanks for the heads up!
  25. Well it most decidedly is not working for me. Navigraph directs the data to FMS Data Manager\ [REGPATH]. Here there is a directory chain Aerosoft CRJ Professional\Data\NavData\ that contains the folders [REGPATH] and PROC. [REGPATH] contains another Aerosoft CRJ Professional folder that in turn contains another Data folder which contains folder NavData (empty on my machine). The folder PROC contains a folder [REGPATH] which, in turn, contains another Aerosoft CRJ Professional folder that contains another Data folder that contains a NavData folder that contains another PROC folder that is in turn, empty. I have no idea where the putative Navigraph 1913 update went but it certainly did not update in the aircraft. I have a Matryoshka directory chain. Is this a unique situation or are others seeing similar results? Ron H
