  1. That's ok. I knew it was a long shot. And maybe only useful for off-line AI.

I don't know if the 'military rule' is correct. After all, it was Microsoft who released the Top Gun enhancement as well as the F/A-18. But I guess it's possible they just don't want 3rd party mil.

  2. This may be a long shot.... At the moment, military bases are very vacant. Since many countries are using some 'twin jet' models for various special operations (mostly personnel transport), it would be realistic to see  these in-sim. I'm unsure if this would benefit live-traffic users but for off-line, you can have these variants moving in many regions. (assuming you can 'activate' parking at those airbases.)

    Two common examples...

US Navy P-8 Poseidon and C-40 Clipper (both B737-800)

US Air Force C-32 (only 2 in existence for the VP, FLOTUS, Sec of State)

Several countries also make use of the Boeing 737 for military purposes (UK, Mexico, Japan, etc). And they frequently land at civilian airports so not just a mil base thing.

I won't add any more detail in case this a non-starter. There could be reasons why going down the military path isn't a good idea.

  3. While sightseeing in Hawaii (with live traffic), I passed within a mile of AAH 15....  Aloha Air Cargo.  Sadly, the random livery the sim selected was a British Airways paint. So I thought I'd repost my request for this airline to be added. They operate a B767 and 737 so they fit well into the 'twin jet' model.

    With thanks!

  4. This suggestion doesn't cover a large air carrier so may not be suitable for this project. Maybe some day after larger airlines are complete.

Aloha Airlines (Hawaii) ceased passenger operations in 2008. However, Aloha Air Cargo (icao code AAH) provides inter-island service as well as flights to the US mainland. They operate using Boeing 767 and 737 aircraft. Small fleet.

Aloha Air Cargo route map includes flights to and from Los Angeles (LAX) and Honolulu (HNL), from HNL to Seattle (SEA) and between all five major Hawaii airports including Honolulu, Kahului, Lihue, Hilo and Kailua-Kona. Pre-pandemic, Aloha also had 4 flights weekly to Las Vegas. That route has been temporarily suspended.

  5. I made this suggestion earlier in this thread...  just wanted to add some information.

Air Tahiti Nui (icao code THT)  - In 1996, Air Tahiti Nui was founded to connect the world to the largest island in French Polynesia, Tahiti. Their fleet was renewed in 2019 consisting of the Boeing 787-9. While their destinations are minimal, their aircraft make a visual statement wherever they land. For MSFS, using the 'generic-airliner-twinengines' would work well.

Air Tahiti (icao code VTA) - The smaller regional inter-island carrier visits 45 islands within the South Pacific (French Polynesia, Rarotonga and the Cook Islands). Most are served in real life with ATR aircraft but there are a few Beechcraft models too. For MSFS AI, there is no ATR AI but there is a 'generic turbo multiengines' that might be acceptable. Maybe even the private jet would look good in this livery even though it's not a turboprop.

Also in MSFS, some of Air Tahiti's destinations do not have airports. And those that do have minimal ramp parking. This would likely need some serious 'thinning' to make work in MSFS.
