  1. Slowly getting used to the forum new-style, it takes some time

With the new options this forum now has, will it also be possible to directly embed videos from youtube and others? I know that is now possible at the simflight forum. You need the code . Doesn't seem this code works on this forum (yet?)

And perhaps it would be nice to add a screenshot/video section to the forums?

  2. OK, some little preview movies :D If one pic can say a thousand words, a video can say a thousand pics or something. I don't know

One video is showing the external model, doing a walk around. The second video is a tour du cockpit. Sorry for the low-res videos, but that's what you get with Youtube.

I hope it still shows enough detail. Later on I will make some videos with moving F-16s. Untill then, enjoy :D

  3. But basically it is built on the Lago f-16? where are the differences?

    best regards

It's not build on the Lago F-16, it's a completely new design. It's build by the maker of the Lago F-16, that something quite different  3D stuff like these planes are build up from polygones. The more of these polygones you put into an 3d model the more detailed it can be. FS2004 can only handle a certain amount of these polygones. FSX can handle much and much more. I've been told by Tim (the maker of this F-16) that the landing gear alone on this F-16 has more polygones than the Lago F-16 had. So that should give you an indication as to why this F-16 will never work in FS9.
  4. first question: will there be a pilot in this plane??? Dag and I want one with hgu-55p with mbu20 oder mbu5 mask and with a HMCS visor ;-)....

but i mean serious, how about the pilot, will there be one??

second question: how far is the developing of this aircraft?? What still needs to be done? how about the bright lights???

    best regards

Don't worry, there will be a pilot, in the end. With or without HMCS visor (personally I also would like to see at least one model with pilot wearing HMCS).

What still needs to be done? Tim can answer that better than I.

  5. Some more large previews. This time of some USAF paints I've been working on lately. I've got a couple more in the planning, but if you've got one you really want seen to be done let me know. If you can provide my with enough detail photos I might consider doing it :D

  6. thanks guys.

why no widescreen? well i'm not sure yet. At work I've got two 21" Eizo screens running at 1600x1200, ideal for graphic design. Now it would be nice to have something like that at home as well. But Eizo screens are a bit too expensive  Those at work cost over €2000,- a piece

19" or below can't give you the same resolution, neither can 20"/22" widescreens. I not only need the wide, I also need the height. So if I go widescreen it will have to be 24", something like Dag has.

Mathijs, what screen do you have that you run it at 1680x1250? Haven't seen IIlyama screens that can run that.

So for designing two 20" 4:3 screens would be ideally, for FS widescreen (24") would be ideally. I will give those widescreens a really serious thought.

PS: Mathijs, I've send you an e-mail last week to your Gmai, did you get that?

  7. hi

i'm planning to buy new screens soon as the one i'm using right now (a big old crt) probably hasn't that much live in it anymore. I want to replace it by 2 tft screens. As graphic designer I won't only use it for FS but also serious work   I want to run it at 1600x1200 so 19" tft or smaller will be out of the question as they can't get any higher than 1280x1024. So it has to be 20" at least. But it's hard to find normal 4:3 ratio screens these days as everything seems to be widescreen.

I'm interested if anyone here has some good advice on this, what are good screens? What are you using yourself (size and brands)? And perhaps you could convince me to use a widescreen anyway, i'm open to all suggestions :D

  8. any news?? pics or something like this??

News? All I can say it's still in Beta (new beta released this weekend) and slowly but steadily it's getting more and more done. But there's still quite some work to do.

    Pics? Sure, why not

Some of the paints I've been working on. There's more but I'm not showing it all just yet:
