If you can supply us with some decent photos I might make one. Although it's one of those countries with very few F-16 in service. It might not appeal that much to the bigger audience. Are you going to make a Royal Bahraini Air Force paint? -
Get it from the Aviation Megastore: http://www.aviationmegastore.com/?shopid=L...7&art=47481
They deliver worldwide.

You'll have to wait untill the new year for the F-16. But believe me, it's going to be awesome , worth the wait.

For all here at the forum, but also the Aerosoft people we don't see that often on the forums here but who work hard on the great products they release: a merry Christmas and a joyful 2008.
PS: I'm not sure if I've used this pic before in an other competition, so if that's the case this pic is just for fun It's the Aerosoft Beaver over Aerosoft New York (all in good old FS9).

Nice to hear the hard work is appreciated
Dag (and others that where wondering): that scenery is RAF Coningsby by UKMIL: http://ukmil.org.uk/DLE2/index.php?subcat=127
It's both for fs9 and fsx. I also have RAF Lakenheath by MAIW for FSX, I believe I got that from Avsim (they also did scenery on Coningsby btw).

About time for some more paint previews
Polish Air Force
8th FW, 35th FS "Wolfpack", Kunsan AB, Korea
Hellenic Air Force, 347 Mira
That's it for now.

Vin,
I just noticed a few posts up you included an illustration of a decal sheet...is that a viable way to get good details for texturing? Does it work to scan the decal sheet in, then simply cut and paste (and position...and re-position) while making a set of skins? I hadn't thought about that before...
I know...I'm slow...
Kent 8)
yes, that's one way to do it. As long as you've got detailed decals (like scale 1:32) and a good scanner. But most times I use photos as reference material. Buying decals just to use it for repaints would make it quite expensive
-
That adres (mail[at]viny.nl) should work. Perhaps try again. Or use my hotmail (look in my profile).
And don't worry yet about the configs shown in the screenshots. At this moment there are just a few configs in beta, but in the end there will be a lot of different config lay-outs including a clean one for the demo f-16s (with smokewinders of course ;-) )
-
Thanks, received that as well For now the tanks aren't textured yet so I can't use it directly now but when I've got textures for the tank I will implement it right away.Hi VinI noticed from that plastic modellers site that the Tank trim has a different Wolf Head Logo so I've done that one for you too and sent it across. Let me know if have any problems receiving it

PM is disabled on this forum, but you can send it to my hotmail. For the adres press the msnm button under my sig.

If you can provide me with a good image than that would be great No hurry, I'm woring on other paints at the moment. If its just the Wolf that is a problem Vin.... leave it with me until next week and I see if I can get some reference material and create one for you on a layered PSD so all you have to do is copy and size it onto your textures -
Well, I already started working on standard Kunsan AB (WP) and Misawa AB (WW) repaints. I was thinking about doing that one with the Wolf on the tail, but couldn't find any good images of it. I only have this image from the Two Bobs decals:
I could of course buy it, on condition that Aerosoft pays ;-) Perhaps there is someone out there that has this decal that could scan it?
-
Showing off your " damn good computer" Dag? It's looking very good.

They're fun, aren't they?
I bought one for my brothers birthday, that little thing was soo much fun I bought one for myself. Quite hard to fly it in a straight line, but some small lead pieces on the nose will fix that
Oh, and they're even more fun to fly in the dark.
here's the website: http://www.silverlit-flyingclub.com/picooz.htm

Hey Shaun,
We need to drink to that, cheers!
ps: how old, excuse me, how young are you now?
-
how about the demo F-16 of the KLu? is there going to be one or not?
Looks like it...
-
ohh, those are very cool pics Been looking on the internet for some decent detail photos, and here they are
Won't be a hard guess what paint you'll be doing when the B model is done.
BTW nice to see the process of the aircraft being winched into the shelter, never seen that before.
-
Looks good! Will there be a RDAF paint at one point?
If Tim will make the model, I (or Dag) will do the paint
-
Enough ranting about SP2 Here are some more paint previews for you (something this topic was actually about):
(please comment on the paints only, not on the model as this is all still pre-beta and quite some things are still missing)
-
Yes, and right after that was taken to hospital to get my gall bladder removed (gall stones bad, morphine good!). So we lost a solid week there. At this moment the choppers are done, manual is done, we are just trying to complete the ships and the ship placement module (it uses Google Earth, real cool). The problem is that one of the main people will be on holiday next Monday so we are scrambling to get files to him in time.
When Shaun talked about you taking a short but necessary break I was thinking about a nice short holiday. Didn't know it was that serious :| . Hope all goes well now
-
I think it will. It got a bracket that you can twitch and turn all kind of ways so it can fit different types of screens. And if it keeps gliding off (like it does on my monitor) some tape will do wonders
-
 WOW Dag, beautiful. Can't say how jealous I'm right now
Got to be one of your best series of photos. Sure would look nice on the box of the Aerosoft F-16
-
looks very nice, great work there Chris
-
They will be there for sure, don't worry about the details not being there yet. There's a team of the greatest nitpickers in the FS community beta testing this plane
Happy Birthday Mathijs!
