Cats 2 Posted March 29, 2015 Share Posted March 29, 2015 Sir, I have over 100 airports running with AES. Just purchased and installed Latin VFR -- KSNA for FS9 and am having an issue. It seems that the jet ways are not lining up. I have the latest KSNA update installed from Latin VFR and am using AES version 2.38. I am attaching a picture of what is occurring. Oliver, I have found the issue. According to Latin VFR, there is no patch out for FS9. SimMarket informed me that there was a FS9 patch but I think it is for FSX Here is the file name from SimMarket: LatinVFR_KSNA_FS9_1.1patch.exe I just received an email from Latin VFR which states that AES is not working with KSNA for FS9 at this time. I think the bottom line is there is just a communication error between all parties involved. I just uninstalled the FS9 KSNA and then reinstalled just the base program without the patch and all is working well now. As a suggestion, you might let Latin VFR know that AESis not operational for their KSNA FS9. My best, Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ch00scd 2 Posted March 30, 2015 Share Posted March 30, 2015 Hello, Sorry, but I am confused now. I use LatinVFR's KSNA in FS9 with the patch 1.1 and AES works perfectly. No problems at all in FS9. I checked several jetways and everything works as it should. Finally, I don't understand LatinVFR's statement that AES is not working with KSNA in FS9 at this time because it's working actually fine. I am also confused because I could activate the scenery for 2 credits when AES 2.38 was released but now KSNA is not listed as FS9 supported airports anymore on Aerosoft's AES website despite the fact that it is working - at least at my computer. By the way: There is a patch for FS9 because there was a ground flickering at holding position 2L. The patch added a new file called "KSNA_ADE9_RGM_TER" and solved the problem. My question is where did you obtain the patch for KSNA for FS9? I just tried to install the patch I have from SimMarket and it causes my original issue to appear. I don't have any problems neither with this patch nor with AES. As far as I know the patch only adds one single new file to the scenery to solve the problem with the ground flickering texture at holding position 2L. You could ask Ricardo from LatinVFR that he sends you an email with this file so that you don't need the patch. If I understand you right, you don't have problems without the patch and the scenery is working correctly, right? Is AES working when you install the scenery without the patch (version 1.0)? One with the patch installed, which Oliver says doesn't look like the KSNA LatinVFR product and the second screenshot is the exact same airport with out the patch installed. As told before, if I were you I would ask Ricardo from LatinVFR for the patch file (without the installer), or download the patch installer again (maybe something went wrong with the download) or simply use the scenery without the patch because it seems that everything works fine for you, including AES. @ Oliver: As a conclusion, AES works perfectly at KSNA in FS9. Could you please change your supported airport list and add KSNA again (as it has been when you released AES 2.38)? Thank you in advance. ch00scd 2 Posted April 19, 2015 Share Posted April 19, 2015 Hello Aerosoft, Referring to my post above dated March 31, 2015, I cannot understand why it's still stated on your website (http://www.aerosoft2.de/downloads/aes/aesairports.html) that LatinVFR's Santa Ana Airport (KSNA) is not supported by AES for FS9 despite the fact that it works perfectly. It's even more confusing that in the release notes for V2.38 (http://www.aerosoft2.de/downloads/aes/relnote_ENG.pdf), it's mentioned that AES works in KSNA (2 credits for FS9) what is also true. The more I don't understand why you have delisted KSNA from the list of supported FS9-airports when the list was actually correct by the date of releasing V2.38. Thanks for clarification.
