wingnut 60
I've tried numerous times to download this product and to get it to work, but with no luck. When I start FSX with AES config running, and go to supported airport, nothing happens,in the AES config box,it always shows the red box in the upper corner, stating not connected, and not at a supported airport.I currently have KATL installed, but not sure about getting more seneries if I can't get this to work.Any suggestions would be appreciated.Mark
Developer OPabst 2091 Posted June 30, 2009 Developer Share Posted June 30, 2009 Read the manual and all posted solutions here. With you statements I only can say that. Don't work is a very useless statement. And for the Communication problems of AESConfig, you will find may statements here in the forum.

wingnut 60
I have read the manual, and downloaded the application as it says, followed the set up,whiich only allows you to download the program to microsoft flight simulator X,and it downloaded with no problems.I have purchased credits, and currentlly have 1 airport installed(KATL).But when I start FSX,with AES config, the 2 never connect, only showing that AES is not connected in a red box. When I first downloaded this product,a pop up screen would show at the supported airport, that does not occur either.Alsso I am starting AES cofig seperatly from AES help,as stated in the manual. Also I am currently running AES config in the admin. mode.Mark
Developer OPabst 2091 Posted June 30, 2009 Developer Share Posted June 30, 2009 Please try it first with the default 737 and place the aircraft on the runway of the airport, you have set in AESHelp to FSX (not off) at the left side of the line in AESHelp. When you can open the AES Window in FSX with the key combi, then try again the AESConfig and start it in the same mode as you have started the FSX.Aslong as no window opens, you will not able to connect, because then AES is not working on that Airport. You also can try this with the default airport EDDN
wingnut 60
I.ve tried that also with no luck, went to this folder location;(C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Aerosoft\AES),and tried to open aes config, with the 737 at the supported airport, still no luck, when I first downloaded this product,at the supported airport,I use to get a pop up window in side of the cockpit stating something, but I can't remember exactly what it said. wingnut 60
Today I finally got it to work, the thing that was messing me up,was in AES help, where the airports are listed,I had KATL,and the other one that comes with the download.Well they both always showed up in green, but the thing I found out,is that you have to click on the Off button, and FSX shows up.It works!I just have to do a little more reading to find out hpw to get everything to work, today I had directors on the screen.Thank you for your assistance;Mark

Developer OPabst 2091 Posted July 3, 2009 Developer Share Posted July 3, 2009 Ok,when the window opens in the FS, AESconfig should be able to contact the FS. If it don't do it by starting via the Buttons in AESHelp, please make a shortcut for AESConfig on your desktop pointing to the AESCONFIG.EXE in the ..\Aerosoft\AES Directory. On Vista, it is important, that the Mode (normal or ADMIN compatible Modus) is the same for the FSX and the AESConfig tool, otherwise Vista will block the communication between both tools. When you start the FS normal (Properties->Compatibility->Admin Mode uncheck), you need to start AESconfig the same way. If Admin Mode is check for the FSX, you need to check it too for AESConfig.
