Frame Rates 747x

Hi - I installed PMDG 747x on XP and have found the frame rates disappointing in VC mode, i also have the 747 on FS9 which runs much better. I can't remember if i have downloaded the update for this as i installed 747x a few months ago, saw the frame rates and haven't used it since, i'm getting an average 15FPS in VC at Seattle.

My PC specs are;

Coolermaster Elite 330 midi case with 2 X 120mm fans fitted

Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3 P45 Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Socket 775

Samsung SpinPoint F1 HD103UJ 1TB Hard Drive SATAII

Arctic Cooling AC-FRZ-7P Freezer 7 Pro

Gigabyte 1gig 9800GTX+ Graphics PCIe

2 X 2gig Kingston DDR2 1066MHz/PC2-8500 HyperX

Arctic Power 700W PSU (RMA item)

Would the update make a significant improvement to frame rates if i haven't already installed it or are poor frame rates part of the package?

Hello Peter,

FS9 will always run better on todays equipment and the same will be true in a few years for FSX.

I believe its best to install updates. As for 15 FPS does it still run smoothly.
