Chevy 2 Posted October 25, 2007 Share Posted October 25, 2007 Ich wollte meiner BeaverX nun mal zusätzliche Repaints verpassen. Und da ich von der früheren FS9-Beaver etliche Bemalungen im Hangar hatte, habe ich es mit einigen von denen probiert (bmp-Format der Texturen). Leider erscheint in jeglicher Weise immer nur ein schwarzer Flieger mit schwarzem Panel im Auswahlfenster des FSX. Die Einträge in der Aircraft.cfg habe ich natürlich aktualisiert für den FSX, doch egal wie ich die Einträge auch modifiziere: die Beaver bleibt schwarz. Bei anderen Fliegern (z.B. Carenado 206) habe ich es schon geschafft, "alte" FS9-Liveries auf die FSX-Variante des Fliegers zu bekommen. Funktioniert das bei der BeaverX generell nicht oder wo könnte der Fehler liegen? Hat jemand eine Idee? Danke und Gruß Christian I think the Carenado and many other aircraft are not really FSX aircraft, so not using the new features. The BeaverX is and it needs all bitmaps in the correct format (dds compressed with DXT5). You could use the imagetool of the SDK to convert bitmaps to the correct format. Of course the bumpmaps and the specular need to match the texture. Also make sure you use the FSX standard fallback texture structure. Sorry for the English answer. I don't want to convert bitmaps with imagetool because I consider it not necessary. The BeaverX comes with a lot of nice texturese so there is changeability enough. I only wanted to know whether old liveries would work or not. And when you are saying that it is not possible to paint old style liveries on your genuine FSX Beaver then I know that I do not have to try anymore. That's OK and I think I understand what makes AS BeaverX different from Carenado (which isn't genuine FSX style indeed). Thanks for putting that clear.
