  1. Since the response for help was overwhelming I have been trying everything I could think of. Finally after uninstalling CRJ Pro for the umpteenth time and then running the Client I was able to get P3D back up and have the CRJ appear but when I tried to save it. The problem started all over again. I will seek help elsewhere.
  2. I probably jinxed myself when I closed out my last post regarding CTD. I was able to fly without any problems for about an hour then saved and shutdown for the evening the next morning I tried to load P3D v4.5 and within about a minute it would CTD. I rebooted with no success. I rolled back my Nvidia driver, Windows updates with no success. I uninstalled my CRJ and it still wouldn't get past the desktop. Did a complete reinstall of P3D and was able to get into the loading page and fly other aircraft. When I tried to load the CRJ and then run P3D it would CTD but after a much longer time. After much searching a found a similar problem a few years ago regarding making certain RAAS was not installed when reinstalling the CRJ. I will try that next. - I am running programs as Administrator. - I reboot after each installation - Antivirus disabled P3D v EVGA GeForce GTX 970 6Gb 16 Gb RAM I am just perplexed how something could change in less than 24 hrs. It is very frustrating for me. I hope someone can solve this issue I really enjoy flying the CRJ when I can anyway. Thanks, Tom
  3. You hit it on the nose it was the .net. One of the guys at AIG advised me to run the .net repair tool and it works like a charm. Hopefully anyone else with this problem can benefit from these posts. Thanks again Otto. Regards Tom
  4. Otto, I didn't install the hotfix properly but I did now and there is still the CTD. Here is the latest event log Prepar3D.exe 5e94b5c2 ucrtbase.dll 10.0.19041.789 2bd748bf c0000409 000000000007286e 11f0 01d77c0bd0c06ce3 C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Prepar3D.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\ucrtbase.dll c1a6860c-f175-4a4e-a109-5f66c7322821 It seems the ucrtbase.dll file is the common denominator to my untrained eye anyway. Best Regards, Tom
  5. Yes that was the last one I had. I ran what LH had for the last download. I will recheck what I downloaded. Thanks again for the help.
  6. Thanks Otto, Well I installed HF3 and the problem is still occurring this time as I was using the FMS. 7. I had to run my client install and I guess I forgot to add the HF that may solve my problems. Thanks for catching that Otto. Were you able to tell that by the event log? Tom
  8. Thanks Otto, I will check that. Additional info I noticed that the CTD may occur when using GSX2. Plan to test it a little more today. Not sure how to attach this but I will try. I am not sure what all this means. I can usually find my way around the computer but this is a little over my head. 9. Ever since upgrading my CRJ Pro to I have about 15 mins before a CTD occurs sometime around loading the FMS, but not always. It does seem to be related to looking around the cabin. Are there error logs somewhere I can post? The aircraft was operating perfectly before I upgraded. Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Tom
  10. Thanks David, and yes I have been sifting my way through all the tutorials. What I find is that almost all of them deal with MSFS version of the CRJ and I have P3D. Reentering the data is not so bad except I have to also reestablish control of the aircraft as the engines have to go through a restart and the autopilot has to be reengaged. It is not so bad if I have made it to cruising altitude but if I have to save it on approach then forget it I am going to crash before I can get it configured. I have been in FS for a very long time so I am used to bugs and I have to say I have gotten much better at operating it. Thanks again for a response. Blessings, Tom
  11. Hoffie3000, Many, many thanks. I have been through all the tutorials and docs and have never seen this option. It has allowed me to actually finish my flight when I have to save the game due to time restraints. Now if I could only figure out how to prevent the stabs and Mach trim, and Yaw damper from being disengaged after the save load it would be even greater. Tom
  12. Well it appears no one wants to respond to my query so I have posted it in the Aerosoft Forum. Hopefully someone there doesn't get ticked by neo pilots.
  13. Is the FMS supposed to keep flight plan data when you save the scenario? If it is I am doing something wrong because everytime I try to save the flight I have to reprogram the FMS. Thanks for the help. Tom V.
  14. Still stumbling around my CRJ trying to get it to stay in the air so I tend to have to reload my scenario often and when I do I have to re-enter the entire FMS FPLN. Is this normal? Also it seems that since my update I lost my nosewheel steering with the yoke. Not so much a big deal I am more inclined to think I am doing something wrong. Would appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks Tom V
  15. I am eagerly awaiting to get in the air and try it out. Thanks Aerosoft. Tom V.
  16. I get an error every time I try to use the Livery Installer I see paint kits to download but no repaint archives. Where are the textures found for the CRJ-Professional located? I have worked with repaint textures for years and I think I can add them manually. Thanks
  17. I believe I found the problem I noticed that in my Aerosoft folder I checked and found my flt plan under the Digital Aviation CRJ folder as was instructed in the Simbrief Downloader (See Clipboard1) when I tried to load that into my FMS it was a no go. On a hunch I also opened the Aerosoft CRJ Pro folder and there was a Flightplans folder which I pasted my .flp into and then went to my FMS and inputted that file into my FMS and viola it was added. I hope this might help someone else who might encounter the same problem. Cheers Tom
  18. Thank you. I did use SimBrief and was impressed and I have the latest AIRAC cycle. I have managed to save a .flp in the appropriate document folder, and followed the directions of using a one word flight plan ie KCVGKRIC but when I tried to use it in the FLTPLN menu of the FMC I get "not in database. In regards to matching the AIRAC cycles is the aircraft kept up-to-date and if not where do I find the what is it's current one is. Thanks
  19. Again thanks for the rapid response. If I understand correctly the only time I will see the data is when I when the FMC is filled in, but what I don't understand is how does one know what STARS and SIDS will be used in order to input that data into the FMC? Thanks. Tom
  20. I hope I stop being a pain pretty soon, but I ran into another unknown. According to the latest manual I should have a complete copy of NavDataPro in the database, but when I go to my Charts page I can't bring up any data. When I go into my Options page under the Aerosoft NavDataPro Charts option it asks me to login asking for a my email address and serial number which I am pretty sure is for the Nav program which I don't have. Has anyone else experienced this and did you find a solution. Thanks Tom
  21. One quick question if I may? Will the tutorial done for MSFS CRJ 700/900 Pro also work for P3D version? Thanks. Tom Valley
  22. Thanks for your quick response Otto. Wow! That means that the website is a little misleading because when I clicked on the P3Dv4 button both the Pro and the X showed up (see attached screenshot) and when I saw P3DV4.3+ it made sense to me that 4.5 would fall under that. To add insult to injury I just logged on and found that the aircraft I just purchased is now half price. So far I am not having much success with Aerosoft as a whole. I know it is all coincidence but still a bummer when you have a fixed retirement income. Supposedly I can upgrade but at this point maybe I will wait and see if the Pro will go on sale. This is the first 3 party aircraft I have purchased Wilco's Feelthere CRJ200 back in the early 2000's. Thanks again and I hope you had a great day. (Better than mine )
  23. I am new to Aerosoft but have been in the FS world since 1993. I am running P3D V4.5 and I am having a bit of a problem with my CRJ 700/900 X. I see that all the tutorials are in MSFS not P3D so my question is can I get a reasonable tutorial for P3D by watching the MSFS tutorials as they do not always appear the same. As far as I can tell from the ground it is an awesome aircraft. Thanks Tom Valley
