  1. I know how it's supposed to work. Wind conditions will effect ground speed more than airspeed. Temperature and density altitude changes are more apt to affect airspeed than wind direction. The instability of the power setting happens only on this model and no other P3D models I have. It's a design issue. I can walk away from other non-autothrottle aircraft and while the ground speed may fluctuate, the TAS and N1/N2 power setting remains stable. I could probably live with having to ride the throttles if the other issues were addressed. But it appears the developer has abandoned support for P3D V4 and moved on to newer platforms. Version 2.2.0.0 is as good as it's going to get.
  2. Since installing the CRJ Professional I've had, among other issues, the following: *The power setting in Manual CRZ mode is constantly fluctuating. I can set the power to where the airspeed is stable, leave the room, come back 10 mins later, and the airspeed has dropped off more than 10 kts. The power setting (N1) is still indicating where I left it, but when I advance the power levers, the indicated power setting (N1) actually drops before increasing. Let me add, this happens only on the CRJ Professional and no other P3D addons I have. *The FMS does a bad job of tracking the route. Sometimes, right in the middle of a leg, it will start making a turn in the opposite direction, as if trying to return to the previous waypoint. When negotiating turns, it constant banks steep and shallow, trying to hold the course. Just not very smooth. *If any changes are made to the flight plan after it is executed, the TOD (top of decent) indication disappears. *It STILL overshoots the selected heading in HDG mode. Frame rates drop/stuttering, especially when making turns, even in default airports with no custom scenery. Again, the only P3D addon in my hanger that does this. I see the developer has moved on to P3D V5 and FS2020. Will there be any future updates for the CRJ Professional for P3D V4.5 or should we consider the project abandoned? 3. I'm having the same problem. Lots of stuttering in during ground movement. Other aircraft like the QW 787 with a lot of video displays and the QW RJ85 run smooth as silk using the same scenery and graphic settings. Is there a way to adjust the display refresh rate in the .cfg? 4. I would start a new thread but this one is regarding the same problem I am having. I have the latest update (SP 1 v2.2.0.0) according to the readme files. Downloaded and installed on 7/1/2020. The 4000ft restriction was appearing above the altimeter ribbon. It would not descend below 4000 for anything while using the auto pilot. I was not in VNAV mode either. I had earlier tried using VNAV for the initial descent but there was no TOD indication and it did strange things. Totally erratic. It appears that once you've activated VNAV, it will continue observing the altitude restrictions even though you've deactivated the VNAV function and returned to using VS mode. I've also noticed that TOD appears on some flight plans but not others. Unpredictable. Another issue I have is trying to change an altitude restriction in the legs page. Changing one waypoint causes all waypoints prior to that one to show the same altitude restriction. This is a characteristic of the default FSX/P3D FMS. I was under the impression that the CRJ FMS was totally re-written and operating outside the FSX/P3D default Nav system (like PMDG, QW and LevelD). BTW, It still overshoots the selected heading as others had posted and was reported to have been fixed. Also, the power settings are very unstable. The power will start changing without even having touched the power levers. Even a slight movement causes the power to change drastically. Sometimes the power will change in the opposite direction that you move the power lever. I don't get this phenomenon on other aircraft. Only the CRJ. The textures are very good, however the video becomes very jerky when moving on the ground. I'm getting good frame rates (40-60) but (especially in turns) the video becomes very jerky. I've noticed the same thing in YouTube videos people have posted using the CRJ Pro. In comparison, the QW 787, which has a lot of moving maps and graphics, is smooth as silk when using exactly the same airport scenery and graphics settings... at least on my rig. Is the CRJ X version any easier on frame rates / graphics? I'm almost inclined to downgrade to the X version until the bugs have been worked out in the Pro version.
