Thanks Christoph,

This is the first chance I have had to apply the two patches and as you suggested it has solved the problem. I really like Aerosoft products, but it is a concern to me that the twice I have had an issue with a product the reply from Aerosoft has been that there is a problem with / on my system and on both occasions that has not been the case. It is only when other users have come to my assistance in the first case Rainer Duda and in the second yourself that I have been able to resolve the issues.

Once again thank you for your assistance to resolve this problem.

Made a couple of flights one from EDTD about 40 miles from EDDS and one from EDFZ about 100 miles from EDDS, both flights CTD at about the 20 miles from EDDS mark.

After today I will be away from my computer till Saturday PM.

Thanks for the reply was thinking that no one was going to get back to me. I will reactivate the scenery and try to fly into EDDS as I haven't tried to do this. As for the reply you gave in the other post I am a little sceptical about the problem with my computer reply. Reason being that a while ago I had a problem with EDLW and got the same stock reply from Mathijs Kok, working with Rainer Duda we found that it was a problem with the German world Cup stadiums.

Once again thanks for the reply, will give the fly into EDDS a go and will let you know what happens.

I recently purchased German Landmarks and I find I now have a problem loading EDDS from GAP 1 Pack, every time I get a CTD at approximately 35 percent loaded. I appear to have narrowed down the problem to the German Landmarks Terrain part of this scenery, with that part and that part alone disabled loading of EDDS is normal. I should add that all the other airports in GAP1 load normally with German Landmarks Terrain activated. Rainer are you out there? You gave me some mega help several months ago with a problem I was having with EDLW.

I guess the answer to that is no, it isn't a situation that I would want to consider personally ie an uninstall. As for updating you would just put any new textures into the root texture file and the bgl's in to the Budapest scenery folder.

Hi,

I had the same problem and searched the site for threads. There are several on this same issue, but quite deep into the system about page 5 or 6 as I remember. However the answer seems to be to move the contents of Budapest_LHBP Texture file to the Flight Simulator 9 root Texture file and delete the empty texture file in the Budapest_LHBP file, that solves the problem. At least it did on my system.

Hi Rainer,

With World cup deactivated no CTD, even on a very deep approach.

When I try to deactivate the files for the second test I have no Dortmund stadium bgl file. Could this be the problem? I have florian, Telecom 1 & 2, Whallen 1& 2 plus the terr files you mention.

Back to the file list I got to worldcup/scenery and then typed the command, I checked for spaces by copying and pasting from your post but could not get the command to work. Plus when I do finally get the text how do I make a copy of it so that I can post it to you?

Hi Rainer,

Should be able to do the flight tests for you later this am.

I don't know how to do what you ask, I know how to access directories in dos or command prompt ie the commands dir/p and cd to path, but I don't know how to list the files in a directory or how to export them to a file etc to send them to you. Such a long time since I did anything with DOS. If you could explain I will be happy to oblige.

Am on my way out now and won't be able to get back to you till tomorrow, I have one freeware scenery for the area by Christian Bahr,

The City of Dortmund (near EDLW) in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany

I Have tried deactivating this scenery it doesn't seem to have any affect on the problem.

As far as I know I have no texture changes in the area.

When you ask for a list of the files in the world cup scenery folder do you mean a list of every .bgl?

Firstly thank you very much for your help and support.

This gets more curious, I tried 5 approaches.

Project Airbus A320 no problem landing exactly on the GS

Project Airbus A320 no problem landing below the GS.

Posky CRJ900 no problem landing below the GS.

A300B4-605R CTD Landing exactly on the GS.

A300B4-605R CTD Landing below the GS.

So now I am not sure what is going on. The deletion of the stadium files has certainly had a beneficial effect, but there still seems to be a problem somewhere on my system at least.

I can confirm this, the first time I flew into EDLW I was flying a Posky Easyjet 737-800, not a bird I fly often, I was hot and high on the GS, so hot and high I didn't manage to stop on the runway, but I got in without a CTD. Each approach after that with various aircraft I have been on or just below the GS with a CTD on each occasion. Didn't mention this because I thought it was just a fluke.

Hi,

I purchased EDLW Dortmund on Saturday and despite many attempts with different aircraft every time I get a CTD over the threshold of RWY6 when landing. I have deleted the airport and reinstalled with windows uninstaller and disabled any possible conflicting sceneries in the area. I don't have Scenery Germany 3 but do have the Football Stadiums but these were installed well before EDLW.

I can take off over the same position on RWY24 with no problem and there is no problem when landing on RWY24. Could you please assist me.
