Well, you're comparing a released product to a non-released product, dont see your argument here
Yeah, but that was the case even back in the days when it was WIP; we never expected such a high-fidelity product for the cost they gave us! Hopefully Aerosoft can make something like that happen with the A330, but I guess we won't know for a while

It would certainly be nice if they continue to be fully clear with what their next moves are. The teaser video, which many took to be a trailer, was easily misinterpreted as the aircraft being fully ready and sent for marketing - clearly that isn't the case

I think most of us are waiting (quite anxiously) for the 21st, when things start to be opened up

Name one developer that provides more frequent progress updates than Aerosoft does.
I'd hope there would be more considering the 7mo+ delay...

Is that BelugaXL shown in the MSFS2024 trailer potentially Aerosoft's work? Certainly doesn't seem very Asobo to have aileron droop on the ground, and you guys are also developing a similar aircraft...

Also I remember hearing them mention they like to have 2 aircraft in production (one of which is the a330, the other being as yet unannounced)

I can assure that the developers have got pretty good already going through the deciphering algorithm, reducing the decoding time to just few milliseconds by now. It seems to be a bit like doctors hand writing. Only select few can develop the skills to read and understand it.All this cryptography is less complex than VNAV? Very impressive

...a developer is crying because no customer will ever see it.
Congratulations on entering beta! One question though, does this mean that the consumer grade product will skip on some simulation aspects or is this because the average customer just won't notice the depth?

Secondary Flight Plan can be used but not limited to as follows:During departure preparation:
Prepare in the following order of priority:
‐ Where available, insert EOPRO‐ If weather is below the landing minima at the departure airfield, insert the route for an immediate diversion airport.
‐ If there is a chance of a change in runway, SID during taxi or takeoff from an intersection, prepare for it by copying the active fli
ght plan and making the necessary modifications (including performance).
‐ If none of the above is applicable, copy the active F-PLN, but modify it at a suitable waypoint for an immediate return.
During descent preparation:
The SEC F-PLN should be set bearing in mind the following order of priority:
‐ An alternate runway / approach type (as applicable), including PERF APP and GA pages.
‐ Engine Out Company procedure.‐ If none of the above is practical, copy the active flight plan.
Yes, however if Aerosoft say they aren't going to do the non normal procedures what would the point of the EOSID be? On the flip side, you could argue that because this programming is done every flight it should be included, as then the product is a more accurate representation of a pilot's job

Will the A330 have secondary flight-plan functions in the MCDU? Though I hear it is generally used in case of an abnormal situation (which I know is out of the scope of this rendition), I have also seen that it is occasionally used in some standard procedures such as circling approaches. Not an actual pilot so what I've said might not even be the case, just watched a couple instructional videos is all

Fitting that you would ask this , someone pointed out to me that today in the US date format is 3/30

Mhh, I still have hope it can be within a few months; we don't know how far along they are with those things, and who knows - those could be the last things to check off! Also, they started adding some superfluous stuff like the wiper arcs on the windscreen, which suggests to me that maybe, just maybe, they are near the end

Can't wait! Hopefully we will all be able to fly it soon

Yes but you still couldn’t open the door and see the forward cabin area.Fact is during boarding and deboarding the cockpit door is open. Flight attendants come in and communicate with the pilots while they prepare the aircraft for departure or clean up the aircraft.
But the Fenix, which is very defensibly on a similar level as the PMDG (if you care about the term "study-level"), already has the cabin and operable cockpit door with audio

I thought the paintkit was already released? Is the potential Monday release an update to the already available kit or?
I skimmed through it, I'm pretty sure that was just a guide for the usage of the paintkit, not the paintkit itself

First of all, yes these types of videos are really good and informative however, they are not really needed for the A330...If you watch some Fenix tutorial, I‘m pretty sure that you will be able to handle the A330 perfectly.
Flying the A330 is a little bit more sluggishly but that’s it.
I had no idea the mixed fleet training was actually done in such a short time frame; very interesting! I must ask though, what is that centre MCDU actually used for? I've heard different things from different people

Seeing as the aircraft fully conforms to the MSFS SDK (as I presume it must because of Xbox compatibility), does this mean that it is likely compatible with the YourControls shared cockpit addon, as there aren't any major workarounds for systems?

Will this be interoperable with GSX? GSX doesn't allow for forward towing operations which is why I think it would be useful
