  1. Does this have Wing flex?

Also does it have SIDS and STARS?

'Only kidding guys, just taking the pi$ - cant wait for this bird'

    No one respond!

I may have missed this but do the windshield wipers actually clear the rain off the VC windows? (If that's even possible? I feel like i've seen it before with the CS 757. maybe not?)

  2. So are you saying that the FMC is not capable of automatically flying a holding pattern? And is it true that you cannot choose the STAR / SID by name, but have to program each waypoint manually?

I'm not sure about the first part, but the second part is true. You must manually set the waypoints within that SID/STAR. You seem like an able fellow, that shouldn't be a problem for you!

  3. Mathjis and Aerosoft team, I'd just like to say thanks for all the hard work. I've been following the forum almost since day 1 and I've seen the ups and downs of the development here. It's truly an amazing aircraft and will be a milestone for other developers to reach for. Hopefully all goes well within the next couple of weeks and we can get a nice smooth release from you. It'll be a pleasure to fly and I can't wait!

  4. Everyday for the past 4 moths (or so) i've checked this forum. And I get excited about the number of pages I haven't read. So when I got home and read that there were 3 full pages of unread information (27-30) I got a tiny burst of energy, only to skim through them and realize that we were dealing with a "Special" person. I'm not upset about his persistent nonsensical posts, more upset about the fact that he got me excited for nothing. I HOPE to god the Airbus X will be released soon because it's been hard to be this patient but what will i have to read once it's released? Good Luck Aerosoft, I think we've been good enough boys and girls to let us have a little present. (release date) Take Care!

  5. I love this company and the way it handles things! And i don't mind a delayed release to fix bugs, but after 2 months from initial release date the nav lights still haven't been fixed? That seems a little odd to me, maybe you can explain that? And i'm not calling my self an expert on development by any means. I just hope these problems can be solved quickly. From what i've heard designing an Airbus in FSX is no walk in the park. Nonetheless I hope you keep working hard! And you have my full support!

  6. Well honestly, I fly a lot on IVAO and need to use sid & stars, and I had no issue inserting them, I mean look at the chart, entre the couple missing waypoints and you are all set.

This is often done in real life as FMGC don't have all the world's SID & STARS...

They might be available in the advanced version but stop complaining about that please ;)

Yes, i fly on VATSIM (Didn't know people still flew IVAO?) I know that's what a majority of real life pilots do and i honestly dont have much of a problem with it. However like others mention, i don't want to spend a long time on the ground and having to manually enter the SIDS and STARS happens to slow down the process, but only a little. And don't worry, im treated too well at Aerosoft to complain! Mathjis and others don't complain to us, we can return the favor ;)

    Cheers!

  7. The whole of the "sim" is fake, so why is the process/procedure of setting up an INS system nonsense? Why include radios? Why have an INS page in the MDCU? Why fully animate the doors? Why show chocks (the plane won't roll away on its own and the "chocks" won't stop the plane from rolling)? It is your product, so you can of course target the market you think appropriate, but I don't understand this push/need for "lite" and watered-down airliners. The joy of a simulated airliner is the ability to cheaply and leisurely learn how to operate a simulation of the aircraft. Why not just make a Piper Cub if simplicity is what is desired.

My point is: it is difficult to call the threshold of "nonsense" in FSX when just about all of it is fake.

I felt the need to comment as the statement I quote above seems out of touch with the following from the first post in this thread: "Startup from a fully cold aircraft fully realistic"

I think part of the reason that the A320 is going a little overtime is that the product has a bit of an identity problem - it's not sure if it wants to be a full-fledged simulator or a "lite" product.

It looks good and I'll likely chance it, but some of the design decisions are somewhat odd (esp. those related to the MCDU - viz. "Fully updatable nav database (navigraph)," followed closely by "SIDs & STARs and airways not supported;" very odd and somewhat contradictory.

Bingo, I really am looking forward to this product like you wouldn't believe!! But that statement right there hit the nail on the head.

  8. oh sweet god, that plane is beautiful!!!! gimme gimme gimme!!! :lust3_s:In all seriousness though, I can't wait for this to be released and show all of those doubters at my VA just how wonderful it is! I've been lobbying hard in our forums for getting people to buy it! I'm getting through to a few people. But once it's released they'll be no doubting how spectacular it is! And once again thanks Mathjis and others for being so open and honest on these forums, it helps me help you outside these forum walls! Keep up the good work!

  9. I feel like this has been asked before, however i can't find it anywhere. So, when engines are running and are idle does the aircraft creep forward like some other payware models or does it stay right where it's supposed to? Sorry if this has been asked before!

  10. Hello everyone! This is my first post with Aerosoft and after reading through the forums for the last couple of days I must say Mathijs is handling this beautifully, great feedback, patient and polite. Very refreshing to see. The bus looks spectacular! I really cannot wait to get this beauty in the air! I may have missed this if it has been asked before (lots of stuff to read can be a little tedious) but would you consider this aircraft MORE advanced than the Wilco Airbus Volume 1?

    Thanks for the info!
