Hi.
I've had a couple of issues with fuel planning lately. I use SimBrief and Aerosoft Airbus X Fuel Planner for planning. On the flight in the attached pic, you can see that I am flying from EGLL to LIPZ in an A319. I've been told to use the BLOCK FUEL in the SimFuel, which is the system tells me should be 5959 - despite the Airbus planner giving me a figure of roughly 8500. I have flown a couple of flights and found that SimBrief seems to be *a bit* better, but the answer is in the middle
Hello Gary!
Here is what I do:
1. Set everything in the Fuel Planner and get the ZFW,
2. Add the correct PAX, Cargo and ZFW to SimBrief, and compute the fuel,
3. Back in the Fuel Planner, adjust values as necessary to match the SimBrief fuel.
That will give you something fairly accurate.
Best wishes!
