It would help us to help you , if you also mention which repaint you are having problems with and for which version of the Airbus .

I do not understand why posters do not include this vital information when having problems with paints . It's like ( to keep it flight related ) asking for help in choosing an airline to fly with when going on holiday , without telling anyone where you are flying from and to .

Maybe an idea for Aerosoft to create a " sticky " with certain rules concerning help requests about installing repaints .

1 . Name of download ( link is better ) .

2 . Version of Airbus , ( AirbusX ( 2010 ) , AirbusX Extended ( AXE ) ( 2012 ) or Airbus 320 / 321 ( 2014 ) ) .

3 . If running the Livery Manager ( LM ) ensure that it is set to " Run as Administrator " .

4 . The Livery Manager does not work with the AirbusX . The reason is that the LM was introduced with the release of the AXE ( in 2012 ) .

5 . If a repaint fails to load using the LM , try installing the " old fashioned " way by hand , as you have to do when using the AirbusX .

6 . Read the readme.txt file supplied with the download .

Peter ,

This is a reply I made to another post made by you and again without the basic information no-one can help you in any way shape or form .

Hi,

I use the newest Versions of Aerosoft Airbus A318-321 vol 1.30 (SP3). I started LM with AdMin rights. These 3 files are affected:

"....cb-airbus-a321-air-berlin-d-abcl", "....ca-Airbus-a320-sl-easyjet-g-ezwm" and "....8f-Airbus-a319-easyjet-g-ezde.zip1kkb16j"

I didn´t try the old fashioned method to install. The readme files are not so fertile.

I have just downloaded each of the repaints mentioned above ( though actual links would have been better - for G-EZWM there are TWO versions ) .

When installing using the LM you have to open the correct version of the LM and click on the correct engine type .

G-EZDE is an A319 CFM , G-EZWM is an A320 IAE and D-ACBL is an A321 CFM . When you click and drag the zipfile ( from whatever download ) to the LM you are given the choice to install either the " clean " or " dirty " version , so there is nothing wrong with these downloads .

If you attempt to install by hand , you will have to rename the folder " Clean version " or " Dirt version " to whatever name is given in the line texture = ( in the aircarft.cfg entry ) , adding this to the aircraft.cfg in the correct aircraft folder .

Taking G-EZDE as an example you can also add both versions ( by hand ) if you alter the line texture = easyJet G-EZDE to easyJet G-EZDE_clean ( or dirty )
