PURCHASED THOUGH STEAM CAN'T ACTIVATE

I purchased the CRJ Thursday though steam during the 50% off sale. I have been unable to activate it. I get no activation screen and for the life of me I have no idea where the code would be. There is no code in the Email receipt. I am however getting a error message when I start Steam and I am wondering if this is why I am unable to activate.

Wrong IP address: 127.0.0.1

No NIC with this address found.

Steam denies me a refund so, I am really trying to make this work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

for the CRJ 200 the C++2010 Libraries shall be installed (only for windows).

The IP 127.0.0.1 is a private adress (the own computer). May be it is another problem.

Are there other plugins installed? XPUIPC for example?

The Steam version does not need to be activated. It is activated by the Steam client. So when you are Starting X-Plane Steam Edition, it has the CRJ activated.

You will never get to see an activation popup with the Steam version, nor will it create a serial.dat file anywhere.

Does the error message pop up from the Steam client when you try to start X-Plane? Or does X-Plane pop up the error message after it was started through the Steam client?

In any case, it sounds like a firewall or packet filter issue to me.

In case X-Plane starts up at all, please post your Log.txt of X-Plane. It is found in the x-plane main folder, which usually is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\X-Plane 10\

ich hab das gleiche Problem, gestern zu 50% Rabat gekauft, immer wenn ich den crj lade, kommt das Fenster (connecting to Server) und anschließend die Meldung, dass meine Firewall die Anwendung Server daran hindernd eine Verbindung herzustellen, der MS Firewall hab ich aber die Zugriffsberechtigung gegeben?

Resultat, crj Systeme bleiben dunkel.

sorry my mistake !
I think there is a problem with tha application (called) Server, in the crj plugin folder.
perhaps there is a conflict with steam and this one. (my guess)

no problem :)

I have tested the CRJ-200 here with Steam and it works fine.

Do you have tried to deactivate the Firewall (own risk)?

Only for a short test if the CRJ-200 works...

You have still not revealed any useful information about your setup.

Are you using Windows, Mac, or Linux? If so, which version. What kind of firewall do you use, the one that comes with the OS or an aftermarket one? Also, you must post the Log.txt of X-Plane for diagnostic information.

Thank you for your support to this point. My Log.txt demonstrated this error.

64 Bit Version of steam

CRJ plugin could not find Steam - I will not start the CRJ without Steam.
Failed: D:\Program Files (x86)/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/X-Plane 10/Resources/plugins/CRJSE/win.xpl.

(The plugin refused to start by returning 0 from XPluginStart.)

The 32 bit version of Steam demonstrated this error:

D:\Program Files (x86)/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/X-Plane 10/Resources/plugins/CRJSE/win.xpl : Error Code = 193 : %1 is not a valid Win32 application.

I disabled the firewall but no luck. The standard firewall that came with Windows 8.1. I'm not sure how to attach the whole log text file so I picked out the above. I have X-Plane 10.36. I appears that SASL is not on my list of Plug-ins with this aircraft (don't know if this is important).

Again, thank you for your assistance.

By the way, I'm a 55 year old, who has been using flight sim's since back in the Commodore 64 days. Am also using Prepar3d as well as X-Plane.

You have a total of 30 plugins installed, many of them reporting various errors.

First thing to do is to clean out all plugins and that add them back one by one checking for errors.

You have so many duplicate or wrongly installed plugins in your installation that it is fruitless to try debug one of them leaving the others unaddressed.

Add them one at a time and don't reinstall the ones that give errors in the Log.txt.

The windows 8 firewall is doing fine. As long as you are on a home router there's absolutely no need to install any of the aftermarket tools like the kaspersky firewall - as you can see, they add an additional layer of administrative complexity that in no way corresponds to their level of usefulness.

I dont know, because I got Kaspersky (1 year free) in combination with ASUS Board.

but you're absolutely right kaspersky is ........................!

Only a completed deinstallation can solve the connection problem.
conclusion
jr crj 200 + Kaspersky AntiVirus = Problem
I don't know why, but the problem belongs to Kaspersky. !
