London Heathrow: static airplanes and safedocks

Hello,

here is a little desciption how to install the static airplanes and the safedocks for our airport London Heathrow.

Static Airplanes:
If you have downloaded the static aircrafts, than you have to extract the zip file.
Important: You only can download it if you are registered in our forum. See the button Login or Register at the top right of the page.

And than copy the folder "_StaticAirplanes London-Heathrow" to the Custom Scenery Folder (<x-plane 10 root folder/Custom Scenery).
Than start X-Plane 10 and close it with the menu File - Quit.
Now go to the Custom Scenery Folder and with a little editor (not Word) open the file scenery_packs.ini.
This is the file which controls the scenery order for X-Plane 10.
Here move the entry "_StaticAirplanes London-Heathrow" and the entry "_DefaultStreets London-Heathrow" above the Entry for the new Heathrow.
You can do it with cut and paste.

The old Airport Heathrow you can disable if you want.

So if all is ok the entries for Heathrow incl. static airplanes must look like this:
...
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/_DefaultStreets London-Heathrow/
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/_StaticAirplanes London-Heathrow/
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Aerosoft - EGLL Airport London-Heathrow/
SCENERY_PACK_DISABLED Custom Scenery/Aerosoft - EGLL Heathrow/
...

Than save the scenery_packs.ini at the same location and close it.

For the visibility of the static aircrafts you need the library opensceneryx. You find it here: http://www.opensceneryx.com/ (it works with an installer).
During the installation, you only have to put in your X-Plane 10 Root folder. The rest will be done by the installer.

AutoGate (safedocks):
Download the plugin AutoGate Version 1.60 and install it as described in the readme (comes with the AutoGate download).

After the AutoGate Plugin is installed you have to go into the folder
<X-Plane 10 Root Folder>/Custom Scenery/Aerosoft - EGLL Airport London Heathrow/Earth nav data/+50-010
Copy this folder (+50-010) as a backup to a another location at first. So you can restore it if something goes wrong.

In this folder there are two dsf files.
Please rename at first the file +51-001.dsf into the name +51-001.no_safedock
Than rename the file +51-001.safedock into the name +51-001.dsf
X-Plane 10 only uses .dsf files and now it uses the dsf file with the safedocks ...
Important to know. Only the safedocks are animated, not the jetways.
